Raitha is currently a light hearted and innocent Draenei. She likes flowers and nature in general. She has one officially adopted child, Lee, an Oracle. She also looks after Evick, who is an Argent Squire training to become a Paladin. She is an officer in Shadow of the Moon on Sisters of Elune and the former guild leader.

Raitha's StoryEdit

Beginnings on DraenorEdit

Raitha was born to an elder in Shattrath on Draenor. Her mother died when she was very young and so she only ever new her father.

When she was at an impetuous age the Legion weaved their webs and corrupted the Orcs, bringing war to the Draenei. Raitha was filled with spirit of solidarity with her race and rushed to join the Draenei army being formed. Her father forbid her from joining, but she was at the age when the advice of parents often is rejected. Harsh words were the last she ever spoke to her father.

The War against the OrcsEdit

Raitha quickly rose to leadership in the army, both due to the extreme casualties and due to the valor and courage she inspired in the soldiers around her. Eventually Raitha and her platoon where caught behind enemy lines in the Blade's Edge mountains. There she took the bold move to stay behind and start a guerrilla war against the Orcs. Over time she undertook missions to attack the logistics of the Orcish Horde by blowing up the narrow passes in the mountains and deliberately attacking civilian targets. The Orcs took to referring to her as "The Curse of the Earth" and her name was spoken with both hatred and fear. Over time though, her numbers dwindled until the last of her troops left her in disgust for her unending fervor against the orcs. By this time the war had long since ended.

Exodus from DraenorEdit

Raitha spent many years living in isolation as a hermit in the Blades Edge Mountains. It was during this time when her affinity for shamanism began. With no contact with other people, there was little else to keep her company.

Then one day, suddenly and without announcement, Raitha observed Velen leading the Draenei to Tempest Keep. She went down to join them and Velen knew who she was, even though he had only met her when she was young. The Blood Elves had already taken Tempest Keep and knowing of Raitha's military prowess, Velen asked her to plan and lead the assault on the Exodar. In return Raitha asked that her real name be forgotten, and that she be let alone to lead a life as a new person. Velen gave her the name Raitha, which has no real meaning, to use in her future life.

AzerothEdit

Raitha arrived with the rest of her people on Azeroth and practiced the life of a shaman under the guidance of Farseer Nobundo. She felt a burden lifted with the sins of her past left behind on another world and had a cheerful and sunny disposition. She found Shadow of the Moon and was admitted simply. She made her way around the land of Azeroth doing what she could to help the plight of people everywhere, and try to dissuade people of prejudiced views.

Then one day she found out that the Dark Portal had been reopened and that the way back to Draenor was open. This threw her into a deep depression as she felt that her past was trying to come back to her. Through the compassion of her friends, particularly Khanz, she decided it was better to face her past then live in fear of it. She would be changed though, for the fight in Outland and conflicts within Shadow of the Moon brought back a need for her leadership skills. A new seriousness took root in her personality, and the previous cheerfulness faded.

The Sins of the PastEdit

On Draenor Raitha's presence came to be known, and rumor spread. Eventually the news came to the leader of the Blood Elves, Prince Kael'thas. He put a bounty on Raitha to be captured and brought to Kael'thas so that he could make her suffer for the slight she committed against him in leading the Draenei's assault on Tempest Keep and the capture of the Exodar. Eventually Raitha heard that the bounty had circulated among the horde and other factions in Outland from a Cenarion Expedition Tauren. She stubbornly continued on undaunted though.

One day Raitha and a companion she was escorting were ambushed by Orcs in the Blade's Edge Mountains. Raitha was captured in allowing her companion to escape. The Orcish band put out a ransom on Raitha, looking to make more money off her before they handed her over to Kael'thas. News of this reach Shadow of the Moon where they readied to pay the ransom, but it wasn't needed.

Raitha escaped on her own in the end with the knowledge of Kael'thas' vendetta against her. She decided that she would not wait to be victimized again. Instead she would take the fight to Kael'thas in what was surely a suicide mission. Raitha preferred to die free of her past then live the rest of her life under constant attack from those looking for money, and Kael'thas' own agents.

The elementals of Draenor learned of her cause and decided that since they were both enemies of Kael'thas Raitha would make an ideal avatar for them. They abducted her and forcibly implanted her with the spirit of a flame elemental to burn within her. She had no choice but to act as their ambassador. The spirit inside her also granted her enhanced powers of flame, though these would become uncontrollable when her emotions flared.

In the end Raitha and her strike force were able to execute Kael'thas and escape with their lives due to the help of the Shattered Sun forces. Once again Raitha was free of her past, though the spirit within her remained.

The Crusade in the NorthEdit

Arthas had brazenly launched an assault all over Azeroth, and though it was terrible, it was eventual rebuffed. A new organization, The Argent Crusade, was created to take the fight to Northrend. With Raitha's past now unhidden, she was approached to join this new organization. She accepted a comission in the Argent Crusade in the spirit of tolerance for the races of the Horde and the fervor to finally have peace on Azeroth that she had always had.

Over time Raitha was given special assignments as a sign of the trust in her and she left leading the troops. First she acted in support and coordination with other factions fighting Arthas. Then she was called to become an ambassador for the Argent Crusade. In her role as ambassador she was given the aid of a squire, Evick, who Raitha quickly took in like a son. Finally she was tasked with swaying opinion in Stormwind. Raitha tried valiantly, but could not overcome the prejudice of the people there. She took an indefinite leave from the Crusade when the leadership of Shadow of the Moon pasted to her.

ChangesEdit

Over time and slightly at first the flame spirit within Raitha started to extert itself more and more. Eventually the flames would become completely out of control and overtake her body causing harm to all around her. She fled with little word to her guild and sought out the aid of Alexstraza, who she had met in her time as ambassador for the Argent Crusade. Alexstraza took the spirit of flame out of Raitha, but found that parts of her soul had been destroyed by the presence of the flame spirit. Raitha was an invalid; nothing more than a child now. Alexstraza, moved by the valor and courage she knew rested inside Raitha, decided to implant a special seed inside of Raitha that would grow inside her and slowly allow the destroyed parts of her soul to be replaced.

Raitha returned to her guild, but was a completely different person. She was now innocent and naive. She had forgotten many things she had done before and some of her guild were suspicious that she might be a completely different person.

CurrentlyEdit

Raitha now lives as an officer in Shadow of the Moon. She's adopted (or been adopted by) a young female Oracle who she's named Lee. She now enjoys flowers and raising Lee and Evick.
