Major guilds that have transferred

In the summer of 2006, Terenas began suffering severe performance issues. The situation became so bad that many of the server's players and guilds decided to transfer their characters to other servers, at a personal cost of $US25 per character. Constant attempts to post in the Technical Support Forums resulted in Blizzard forum moderators and Gamemasters locking threads and banning players from the forums. In early 2007, Blizzard allowed free transfers from Terenas to help alleviate the problem.

Online game news and review website, Gamespot.com, published an article about the lag problems affecting World of Warcraft players in the summer of 2006.

Alliance

• Vision → Ysera, ~July 28, 2006
  where they proceeded to kill the last two bosses of the spider wing of Naxxramas for the first time within two weeks. They also killed c'thun for the first time as a guild just three days after the gates were controversially opened.

• Eternal Keggers → Norgannon, ~August 01, 2006
  where they finally killed Maexxna to finish off the spider wing, and Noth the Plaguebringer.

• Stehlen Life → Kael'thas, ~August 04, 2006

• Uthers Champions → Kul Tiras, ~August 22, 2006

Horde

• Blood of Virtue → Norgannon (as Blood of Vengance), ~August 01, 2006
  with Eternal Keggers where they proceeded to kill Anub'Rekhan for thier first kill in Naxx.

• Regicide → Ysera (as Lebowski Urban Achievers), ~August 04, 2006
  with Vision.
