Valid Field Entries:

• Name: Ability name.
• Description: Ability description as it appears in-game.
• Rank2, rank3, rank4: Improvements earned by leveling up. Intended for modern abilities, which often gain extra effects at higher ranks (as opposed to older abilities, which generally only get number increases at higher ranks).
  • Rankspec: The spec that has additional ranks for an ability.
• Rank2b, rank3b, rank4b: Alternate set of ranks, for cases where two different specs have extra ranks for an ability (e.g. [Chain Lightning]).
  • Rankbspec: Spec for the alternate ranks set.
• Class: If it is a class-specific ability, list any classes that can use this ability.
• Race: If it is a race-specific ability, list the races that can use it. If the input contains no links, the template will automatically create one; e.g. Night elf becomes [[Night elf (playable)|Night elf]]. This won't work correctly for abilities where multiple races or a faction are listed. In those cases, you'll need to add the links manually.
• Replaces: The ability that a talent replaces; e.g. for [Incarnation: Chosen of Elune], put "Celestial Alignment" without brackets.
• School: "Physical", "Arcane", "Frost", "Fire", "Nature", "Shadow" or "Holy".
• Cost: "x Mana/Rage/Energy"
• Req: Requirement to use the ability (e.g. Cat Form, Daggers). Shown in the infobox itself.
• Range: "x yd" or "Melee".
• Radius: (optional) For the use of ranged AoE spells.
• Cast Time: "x sec" or "Instant".
• Cooldown: "x seconds/minutes".
• Spec: Specialization this ability is specific to; omit if not a specialization-granted ability.
• Type: Currently accepts "talent", "pvptalent", "racial", "honortalent", and "draenorperk". Remove this for standard abilities.
• Affects: If it is a talent that affects other abilities, list the abilities separated by commas.
• Improvement: If the ability can be improved by any talents or abilities, list all of them separated by commas.
• Level: The level the ability is learned at.
• Rank2level, rank3level, rank4level: The levels any extra ranks are learned at.
• Buff Name: Name of a buff or debuff that is applied with this ability. Leave this blank if it's the same as the ability.
• Buff Type: Magic, Curse, Poison, Disease, or leave blank for typeless.
• Buff Icon: Icon image for the buff. Leave this blank if it's the same as the ability.
• Buff Desc: (optional) In-game text on the tooltip (leaving this blank disables this section)
• Buff Dur: Duration, including units. e.g. "10 seconds"
• Buff Flavor: Flavor text
• Debuff: (optional) If the ability causes a buff, do not include this. if the ability causes a debuff, usage is |debuff= and nothing more.
• Doc: Stops this template from automatically adding categories. Simply include |doc=.
