AppearanceEdit

Vaalith's skin is quite pale compared to others, either from his experiences as a Death Knight, or perhaps he was just as pale beforehand. There are a slight amount of blemishes on his face, still onset by puberty being that he is biologically still a teenager (Though chronologically he is around 25 years old). His most striking features, however, are 2 large, deep-colored scars, one running down his left eye, and the other across his neck.

Vaalith's LifeEdit

Born in the Redridge Mountains 15 years after the Orcs invaded Azeroth, Vaalith was raised by an aristocratic family that went into serious debt after having him. By the age of 9, he learned of the Scarlet Crusade and their mission to eradicate all undead, and ran away from home to join their order. He became a Junior Templar for them at the age of 12. As he progressed in the Crusade, a vampiric demon known as "The Scarlet Devil" began to haunt the hallowed halls of the Monastery. He and others were sent to deal with the demon, but only he was able to survive the encounter. He reported it back to the Crusade's leaders, but the demon had already reached them. He used all his powers to subdue it, and later he became High Templar for his deed.

2 years later, Vaalith was sent to the Silverpine Forest to patrol the outskirts of Gilneas with a patrol convoy. He got seperated from the convoy, and had to spend 3 weeks stranded deep in the forest alone, surrounded by hungry, feral Worgen. After having been beaten and scarred so badly by the Worgen, he was later discovered almost dead by Sylvanas Windrunner. She almost decided to kill him, but then she thought he would be more useful to him if he were alive. She branded his chest with the Crest of the Forsaken and took him to a work camp, where he stayed for an additional 2 weeks before being freed by the Scarlet Crusade.

Vaalith was nursed back to health by his Scarlet brethren, only to have him be attacked and abducted by the Scourge a couple days later. The Scourge took him to the Lich King to be made into a Death Knight, and he was later moved to Acherus to train in the unholy arts of necromancy and other dark schools of magic. he was forcibly infused with the Curse of the Worgen by the Scourge, to make him more agile and powerful. He assisted the Scourge to take Havenshire and New Avalon, after which he was freed from them at the Battle for Light's Hope. He grudgingly joined the Ebon Blade and helped to fight against the Scourge alongside his other cursed brethren, but then resigned from their ranks after Acherus was taken.

Vaalith later returned to the land of the living and decided to take refuge in Stormwind, doing all he could to get back in touch with his Paladin roots. Soon, he did, thanks to the valiant efforts of a priest by the name of Maladathiar. He was purged of his unholy spiritual taint at the expense of the priests life, though his body was still cursed with Undeath and the Worgen form. However, this would not be permanent. After he martyred himself for his friends in a tragic display of selflessness, he was ressurected by a group of priests in the Stormwind Cathedral. When he was ressurected, the Light blessed him by laying to rest the curses of the Worgen and Undeath on him, making him a living human once again.

Today, he serves the Cathedral of Light and works to redeem the Scarlet Crusade in his grand vision of the Crimson Legion, an order dedicated to the teachings of Alexandros and the Light. Their prime mission is to redeem the Scarlet Crusade and to defeat the undead, as was the goal of the original Crusade. They have been forced out of Stormwind for affiliating themselves with the Scarlet Crusade, and currently are living in secrecy in the Plaguelands, specifically at the fortress of Caer Darrow. He is also currently being trained by four of the seven Suns (Ameliyan, Kalestrae, Valict, and Apollus) in his quest to defeat the Scarlet Devil.

How to Find HimEdit

He is on the server Wyrmrest Accord (US), and most of the time he can be found in or near the Cathedral of Light, unless he is busy with his order or attending to other matters. While disguised, he is in standard Stormwind Paladin gear (Field Marshal's Aegis) accompanied by a Stormwind Tabard and Cape. When not in diguise, he is usually dressed in Scarlet Inquisitorial Regalia (Doan's Mantle/Robe and Whitemane's Chapeau), wearing the Scarlet tabard and carrying around the mace known as Mograine's Might.
