Some old content was re-added by a vandal. Content is fine but most of the guild links are dead so I removed them and added some other notable guilds from the server. Gruond (talk) 16:48, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
More Vandalism, Quashed Edit
Removed all Dethecus guild links, which had all been replaced with a website with objectionable content and porn links. Gruond 01:09, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
I can't judge on the correctness of these statements and the comment
- EDIT 08/26/06: This was written by CaleThompson yesterday, the Prophet of Dethecus and Bringer of Truth, the only Dethecus troll to receive a personal response to Caydiem before his forum permaban. I have no idea how it took off all of a sudden but let me assure you that every word of it is 100% true, and is based on my personal experience working with the finest trolls and griefers that WoW has to offer. DETHECUS NUMBAH ONE!
brings up some questions. If the Text on the top is actually a quote, then it should be marked as a quote (from the forums?), otherwise, I don't know, maybe it should be deleted.
Neutrality Fixed Edit
A cross-section panel of the dethecus community has reviewed the article and made minor corrections to better reflect our great server. We furthermore took out the aforementioned paragraph. Attempts to vandalize our great server description are not appreciated.
At present time, we are reasonably content with the article's neutrality. Dethecus is proud of its controversial, pvp-oriented, confrontational culture; we feel the article adequately reflects this. As such we've also taken out the npov tag.
Actually the paragraph that was taken out was not the paragraph that I meant to lack a NPOV, but all other text above that one. You should head for a more neutral description, skipping words that prevent neutrality. There sure is a possible way of describing your beloved server the way you intended it without making the description itself sound like... this... -watchout 10:34, 27 August 2006 (EDT)
I'm aware the paragraph wasn't your reason for suspecting a lack of neutrality. It was removed because it was childish vandalism and, in and of itself, contained no information about the server or its community. We, as a group, also believe you'll be hard pressed to adequately describe our awe-inspiring community without making it sound like... this...--yd 10:46, 27 August 2006 (EDT)
Well, try it. An article lacking a NPOV however is more likely the target of vandalism, no matter how good the intentions have been. And we don't think you will like that. And of course we (as a group of 1 persons :)) cannot even think about describing your awesome community, since we're not part of it (PS: Quoting takes some responsibility away from the author to the original author of the quoted text and often helps to preserve a NPOV - But choose your quotes well.) -watchout 11:31, 27 August 2006 (EDT)
It's pointless to mess with it now, anyway. Since the description went up, it's gotten a lot of publicity within the dethecus community and will now be the victim of vandalism for the foreseeable future no matter what it says. This is why we can't have nice things. --yd 17:01, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
