Ranks3

Shadowfury is a Shadow-based direct damage GTAoE that stuns targets for a short duration. It can only be acquired by investing 41 in the Destruction tree.

Destruction, death, shadow... these are the things you shall suffer...

Rank Level Mana Cost Damage Cost
1 50+ 440 343-407 n/a
2 60 545 459-547 50c
3 70 710 612-728 50c

Tips and tactics

  • As it does not trigger the global cooldown, it gives you 1.5 sec of free time. This time frame can be used to bring off a Howl of Terror.
  • Although extremely mana inefficient for a single target, Shadowfury can be used for kiting.
  • For groups the efficiency is comparable to Blizzard.

Past changes

Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): "...now properly benefits from the Intensity talent."

Notes

Shadowfury was also a name of a random Demon Hunter in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
