Shadowy Apparitions (Passive) Passive When you deal critical periodic damage with your Shadow Word: Pain, you have a 100% chance to summon a shadow version of yourself which will slowly move towards a target which is afflicted by your Shadow Word: Pain. Once reaching the target, it will instantly deal X Shadow damage. You can have up to 3 Shadowy Apparitions active at a time.

Shadowy Apparitions is a passive priest ability learned at level 42 for those with the Shadow specialization. When dealing critical periodic damage with [Shadow Word: Pain], a shadowy version of the priest is summoned. It moves slowly to the afflicted target and deals additional, instant damage; only three apparitions may be summoned at once.

Patch changes

• Patch 4.1.0 (26-Apr-2011): Shadowy Apparitions now benefit from the priest's spell penetration.
