Koromak Grimhowl is an Orc Warrior, hailing from the Grimhowl Clan. He views the other races of the Horde in a poor light, seeing most of them as weak for various reasons, although after meeting a certain Blood Elf his opinions have started to change. He is at his core a war lover, and love the rushes of adrenaline when he is in combat. He is also distrustful of magic users, especially those who consort with demons. He often spends his time in the Orc city of Orgrimmar either honing his strength or engineering new devices. When he is not in the city he spends his time looking for members of the Alliance that may have drifted too close to a horde settlement for their own good.

Biography

Koromak Grimhowl was a member of the Grimhowl Clan, once made up of shamans and warriors, it fell prey quickly to demonic corruption. After which the clan's shaman became warlocks and the warriors remained. As many of his relatives were slaughtered in the first and second war, he is unsure of any living relatives and assumes he has none. He has started to gain some respect for the other races of the horde, but harbors no love for the Alliance.

Born into War

Koromak was born during the First War to his parents Kargrok Grimhowl a Warrior and Thothra Grimhowl a Warlock. As a child he watched the warriors, especially his father train for battle, he admired them for their strength and unwavering strikes.

Months later when the First War would lead to the orc's victory Kargrok returned to their home in the Swamp of Sorrows. It was then that Koromak would begin his training as a warrior at a young age. His father was very tough on him during his training, often tossing insults to Koromak about how his strikes were hollow, or not strong enough. For days and nights on end Koromak would train, getting stronger, all to gain his father's approval. Eventually he did when he struck his father's chest with his axe, barely missing and leaving a shallow cut. That day, was the first time his father had smiled since the beginning of the war.

A few years later they found themselves set upon by small Alliance group. Many of the Grimhowl Clan had already been slaughtered. His father stood valiantly against the alliance invaders while Koromak's mother used her time to create a [Soulstone] to save her son from death. Koromak witnessed his father and mother's death. Yet he survived, thanks to his mother's wit.

Garrosh & The Return of the Blackrock

Many years later, Koromak had joined the new shamanistic horde. Unlike many of his brothers he still clung to the old ways, but served under the warcheif at the time, Thrall. He disliked how Thrall sought peace with the humans, and his views of his warcheif degraded. Thrall was a warcheif raised by humans, not by orcs... he was not suited to lead the Horde. Koromak left Thrall and joined Grom Hellscream's group of warriors, seeing the Blademaster as a stronger leader, and as a stronger Orc. For Koromak, not only was this the wiser choice, but the more powerful choice; Grom's scouts found a scource of demonic blood within Ashenvale, under Grom's orders he saw no alternative but to drink the blood they had found. He tore apart many of the Night Elves in their quest... eventually meeting up with Thrall once again who was disgusted by their fel forms. Fortunately for Koromak, Thrall's anger allowed him to temporarily regain control over himself. Once Grom killed the pit lord Mannoroth Koromak regained his regular form and no longer had to constantly focus to retain his composure.

Koromak was present in Hyjal's last defense, and witnessed the death of Archimonde. However after the great city of Orgrimmar was constructed, Koromak refused to aid the horde in battle and lived in Durotar while many journeyed to Outland. Many years would pass, and after the war against the Burning Legion ended Thrall brought a very interesting character back with him.

Garrosh Hellscream the son of Grom. The orc that would become Warcheif of the Horde, the orc that gave Koromak reason to fight for the horde again, the orc that gave Koromak hope that the Old ways would return. Koromak immediately signed himself up to join the Horde War effort against the Lich King, but mostly to be given a chance to serve under Garrosh.

The Blackrock of the Horde

Several years later Koromak returned to his training in Durotar. In preparation to properly serve his warcheif. During his training he came across a Blackrock Orc by the name of Ripgut, who told him of the power of the Blackrock Clan and how they were reforming within the horde. He immediately renounced his loyalties to his fallen Grimhowl clan and swore allegiance to the Blackrock Clan. He quickly grew close to the leader of the clan, taking every opportunity he was given to serve his clan and warchief.

Their clan lived by the word of Garrosh Hellscream. The Orc race was superior and stronger than others, the Tauren were too peaceful, the Trolls would only serve Thrall, The Goblins were best put to use as sappers, The Forsaken had betrayed the Horde, and the Blood Elves were frail and weak. Within their clan there was little or no love at all for other races, those who opposed Garrosh's will or served Thrall were promptly exiled from the clan... or killed.

As the clan expanded, the leader revealed more of their plans for the clan. One specifically being; to restore the Shadow Council.

The Darkest Power

When Ripgut's plan to ressurect the Shadow Council was revealed to the clan by his warlock clansman Guldann, it was also revealed that three artifacts would be needed to do so; The  [Demon Seed], The Eye of Sargeras and lastly the Skull of Gul'dan which was a major artifact that would allow them to create their own Death Knights, however a patriarch of their new order of Death Knights would be needed. It was then that this warlock turned to Koromak, and offered him the Darkest Power, to undergo a death ritual at the Altar of Storms near Blackrock Mountain. The power that came with the offer was great and terrible, but Koromak remembered the actions of the Shadow Council, the warlocks who tore Draenor asunder... and the demons... and fel blood that corrupted his clan. Koromak turned down the offer and left the Blackrock Clan, telling them that a true orc would rely on his own strength, not strength taken from demons. After leaving the clan, he ventured to the Swamp of Sorrows when the moon was full and uttered the Grimhowl Oath, so that although he was the last of his clan, he would remain so and never renounce them again.

Relationship with the Other Races

Korgorakk has shaky relationships with the other races of the Horde. Not only because he is a Death Knight, but because of his beliefs regarding the other races. They are always changing and shaping his views of the others.

Trolls		Disliked	With their leader having threatened Garrosh, Koromak views the Trolls as a potential threat. He believes their leader is making a huge mistake by getting on Garrosh's bad side and desperately needs to rethink what he said to the Warchief.	25
Blood Elves		Disliked	Koromak originally hated the Blood Elves the most out of all the races. However he has since met Valenthar, a Blood Elf Hunter that has started to prove Koromak's thoughts about the Blood Elves wrong. The militaristic elf has begun to change Koromak's opinions for the better and has also started to impress him.	25
Goblins		Angered	He has almost no patience for goblins, however he still views them as only tools to be used. In his mind if the goblins aren't making stronger weapons for the Horde then they're better off used as a sapper squad. With the introduction of the Bilgewater Cartel into the Horde Korgorakk is finding Goblins more and more annoying.	20
Forsaken		Hated	Korgrakk hates the forsaken utterly. After the events at the wrathgate his already suspicious view of the forsaken and their Banshee Queen turned into full blown hatred. Though he dislikes their presence in the Horde, he still waits patiently for the day they are removed.	0

Personality

Koromak almost always appears to be in a constant state of rage. Though it is not displayed overtly, but more as a controlled fury that he can release at any given time. He tends to treat those with strength astronomically better than those who he views as weak. Often he will not talk, look or even acknowledge someone he deems as too weak to be alive, simply because to him they are, or should be dead. With his opinions of the other races changing he has begun to acknowledge other members of the hordes races, specifically those he originally viewed as weaklings.
