Shaohao is described as the "last emperor" of the empire. It is unknown if he will appear in Mists of Pandaria, or if he is only mentioned in-game.

He stripped away all of his negative emotions, hiding them deep within Pandaria. Unknown to him, the negative energies grew into the malevolent sha, who now attempt to feed off the Alliance-Horde conflict.
