Smouldering Essence is not really an item (and the tooltip is made up), but the essence of a Firelands boss gathered by [Siphon Essence] from the user of [Runestaff of Nordrassil] while on the quest  [85R] Heart of Flame towards obtaining the legendary staff, [Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest].
