Snowstorm the hippogryph is a 'mount' loaned to the character from Palena Silvercloud upon accepting the Stars' Rest version of Alliance Crest [72] High Commander Halford Wyrmbane.

Snowstorm is only a part of the tour started by accepting the quest. The character has no influence upon him, and is carried from Stars' Rest to Wintergarde Keep. One trusts that Palena trained him well...
