The Sons of Hodir are a faction of ice giants located in Storm Peaks. They are a war-like race that makes its home in Dun Niffelem.

The Sons of Hodir start as aggressive to the player. The quest chain to gain neutral status starts with They Took Our Men! in K3.

To obtain a neutral status with this faction, you must complete the chain above up to and including "A Spark of Hope". The quest chain proceeds in a normal manner, except that "The Refiner's Fire" starts from an item drop (Slag Covered Metal) which you should acquire from the Stormforged Iron Giants while completing "Mending Fences" (the required item will drop again even if you already completed the quest and accidentally deleted the item).

To start the daily quests "Hot and Cold", you must first complete the quest after "A Spark of Hope" called "Forging an Alliance". This will bring Fjorn's Anvil to Dun Niffelem.

The Sons of Hodir's claim to fame in Wrath of the Lich King is that they are the providers of all the Shoulder enchants for Wrath of the Lich King. The first tier is available at Honored, the second at Exalted. The Honored shoulder Enchants for the Sons of Hodir are equivalent to the Exalted enchants provided by the Aldor and Scryers from the BC, although it might be better to burn any left over Holy Dust or Arcane Runes before spending money on the Sons of Hodir ones.
