Spellbook (UI)

The Spellbook (Hotkey: P) contains a list of all the various spells, abilities, and professions you have learned while playing.

The spellbook is divided into four categories, or tabs: General, containing professions, racial traits, and passive abilities, and your particular class's three talent trees, which contain the spells and abilities found on your action bars. A Paladin, for example, would have a General tab, then Holy, Retribution, and Protection tabs as well.

Spell and Ability Pages

Each class has its own set of three tabs, each corresponding to a talent tree, where spells and abilities of a corresponding type are found. Each spell icon can be dragged onto an action bar. The highest rank of a spell is always shown, unless "Show all spell ranks" box is checked on the top of the page. This is especially useful to healers that are helping run low leveled players through an instance, as they can use a lower ranking healing spell that is more appropriate for healing a player with less health, thus saving mana that would be wasted on overhealing.
