This item is crafted by engineers with a minimum skill of 275.
Materials required per controller:
- 3 [Mithril Bar]
- 1 [Gold Power Core] (= 1 [Gold Bar] per three cores)
Since Patch 2.3, the schematic has been available as limited supply from Gearcutter Cogspinner in Ironforge and Sovik in Orgrimmar. Previously it was necessary to hand in 40 [Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket]s to the Darkmoon Faire.
Notes
The neutral quest Missing Friends rewards you with a Battered Steam Tonk Controller, which has a mere 10 charges.
Sadly, the only variety of Steam Tonk you create with this item is the one with the mines. The Darkmoon Faire versions have several other varieties.
