A storm dragon is a type of creature that is set to appear in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.[1]
History
The might Strom Dragons are a mysterious creatures that inahbit the Elemental Plane of Air - Skywall. They're origin is unknown, as before the Shattering no one has seen them (or lived long enough to tell the story). They're draconic appearance however may not indicate their true nature. It appears they are quite tightly connected to the element of Air, and serve Al'akir the Windlord. They also seem to be non-sentinent beings, as none of them so far can be seen using any kind of language, neither Draconic nor Kalimag,not even Auran. This may mean that they are infact elementals similar to the phoenixes from the Firelands. Whatever is true, only time may tell.
In World of Warcraft
There are several Storm Dragons living in the Vortex Pinnacle. The strongest of them is Altairus. Storm Dragons can also be tamed to serve the players as mounts.
