Pet Abilities

Spell fire firebolt [Firebolt]
The Imp's only method of attacking is through the use of its Firebolt power. The Imp uses up lots of mana on this attack and won't use Firebolt again until it has the mana to. A common mistake some warlocks make is when they tell their pet to attack but the Imp will not. The first thing to do is to check and see if Firebolt is still put on auto in the pet abilities bar and if it is not, right-click to fix that. A second thing to do is to make sure you are not fighting fire immune mobs because the Imp will not attack mobs that are immune to fire. It takes the Imp 2 seconds to cast the Firebolt ability. It can be Improved to 1.45 seconds through the Improved Firebolt talent (rank 2 is supposed to bring it to 1 second but is currently bugged). The Imp's Firebolt also can be resisted, which definitely hurts the Imp. However, the Imp can also have its Firebolts crit to do extra damage.
Spell fire firearmor [Fire Shield]
Places a damage shield on the Warlock or any party members within range (30 yards). One thing to note is that mobs can resist the damage shield and it will not work on fire immune mobs. The duration is 3 minutes on the fire shield.
Spell shadow bloodboil [Blood Pact]
Increases the stamina of the Warlock, the Imp and any group members in range. The range is 20 yards so be sure that the Imp is close by at all times. It does not cost any mana at all from the Imp to use blood pact and there is no duration on the buff.
Peticon-magical Spell shadow impphaseshift [Phase Shift]
Makes the Imp invulnerable until it attacks. Make note though that AoE effects and Ability warlock soullink [Soul Link] will still effect the Imp in phase shift mode. It has a 10 second cooldown and does not cost the Imp any mana to use. Buffing the Imp requires this spell to be off, except with the paladin auras.
