Summoner Kanthin is a senior magister allied to Kael'Thas Sunstrider, based at Manaforge Duro in Netherstorm. He was involved in the destruction of Kirin'Var Village and was given the Stone of Glacius, a stone which summons Archmage Vargoth's familiar Glacius. Vargoth is recruiting adventurers to kill Kanthin and reclaim the stone.
