The Sunmote is an ingredient for new high-level recipes or currency for items introduced in Patch 2.4 sold by  [70+] Yrma <Transmuter of Sin'dorei Relics>.

• Crafting material used in high-level Blacksmithing, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking and Tailoring recipes to create epic items at the 375 skill level of each profession).

The Sunmote was added in patch 2.4 and only drops from Sunblade trash mobs (including  Brutallus and  Felmyst) in Sunwell Plateau.
