Survival of the Fittest is a talent in the Feral Combat tree and requires 28 points in Feral Combat to max. This talent is primarily for tanking.

At level 70, you must have 5.6% reduction to be critically hit to prevent all crits from Raid bosses. Patch 3.0.2 doubled the benefit of this talent. With the 6% crit reduction, feral tanks no longer need any Defense Rating or Resilience Rating on their gear to reach immunity to critical strikes from raid bosses. This allows more room for stamina enchants/gems, giving feral tanks larger health pools than a protection warrior or paladin. See melee mitigation and the combat rating system for more details.

Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Bonus armor reduced to 11/22/33% instead of 22/44/66%.
Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): This talent now grants 22/44/66% bonus armor in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form in addition to all of its previous effects.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Increased to 2/4/6%, up from 1/2/3%.
