Spell Nature EnchantArmor

Overview

Many Warriors specialise in one particular aspect of the martial trade: the guardian (Defensive Stance), the soldier (Battle Stance), the berserker (Berserker Stance)—whichever path they choose, it is one they must stick to with dogged determination in order to succeed.

But some Warriors go further, and through the application of mental and physical flexibility, successfully blend all three, casually leaping from role to role, even within the span of a single fight. Through rigorous training and practice, they intuitively come to understand exactly which tool is needed, and at what time, and can change their style to fit, without thought or pause...

Functionality

You retain up to an additional 5/10/15 of your rage points when you change stances. Also greatly increases the threat generated by your Spell nature bloodlust [Bloodthirst] and Ability warrior savageblow [Mortal Strike] abilities when you are in Ability warrior defensivestance [Defensive Stance].

It is a passive Protection talent, and is always active. Warriors learn Spell nature enchantarmor [Stance Mastery] at level 20 which allows them to carry up to 10 Rage through a change of Stance. Tactical Mastery adds an additional 5/10/15 for up to 25 Rage carried over between Stance changes. This is enough to immediately trigger high Rage abilities like Ability warrior shieldreflection [Spell Reflection] and Ability whirlwind [Whirlwind]

Prequisites: None.

Rank Base Effect w/ Spell nature enchantarmor [Stance Mastery]
Rank 1 5 Rage Saved 15 Rage Saved
Rank 2 10 Rage Saved 20 Rage Saved
Rank 3 15 Rage Saved 25 Rage Saved

Notes

As of Patch 2.3, this talent also now grants greatly increased threat from Ability warrior savageblow [Mortal Strike] and Spell nature bloodlust [Bloodthirst] when in Defensive Stance.

Since Patch 2.0.1, the former talent Spell nature enchantarmor [Stance Mastery] (which allows the warrior to keep 10 rage between stances) has been made a trainable skill at level 20, and the Tactical Mastery talent has been moved to the first tier of the protection tree. Also, the ranks were changed accordingly to three ranks of 5 extra rage each.

The ability to keep rage between stances is considered by some to be one of the bread-and-butter skills of a warrior. According to this school of thought the Tactical Mastery talent is essential, and they argue that the absence of it "gimps" the character noticeably.

Example:

Start in Ability warrior offensivestance [Battle Stance]. Ability warrior charge [Charge] your enemy to start combat and gain rage. Switch to Ability warrior defensivestance [Defensive Stance]. Ability warrior disarm [Disarm] your enemy. Switch back to Ability warrior offensivestance [Battle Stance] to fight while they ineffectively wave their fists at you. If your enemy manages to get out of melee range switch to Ability racial avatar [Berserker Stance] and Ability warrior victoryrush [Intercept] them.
