The Tahonda Ruins was apparently a tauren village, before being completely destroyed and abandoned. The ruins lie in the southern Shimmering Flats^{[77, 87]}

near the path through the mountain to Tanaris. Little to no further information is known about this village.

Currently the ruins are inhabited by Saltstone basilisks. It was probably abandoned in a basilisk attack, due to two sets of three parallel tears in the leather of one of the buildings.
