Rank ticks

What does it mean when the rank ticks off after a kill? I am thinking that it's the rank of the player you killed, but don't know for sure. This would probably be a good thing to add to the article, and thanks! WhiteBoy 01:23, 25 June 2006 (EDT)

Yes, it is the rank of the killed player. You gain different amount of Honor for the various ranks. I.e. you get more honor for killing a rank 14 player compared to a rank 2... --Hexapuma 09:55, 14 September 2006 (EDT)

Removing a Comment

I'm going to remove a comment someone made about "If you're not a twinked rogue, don't play".

New BG

I think that it would be great, if the new battleground, would be a fight between united forces of Horde and Alliance against Undead Scourge, Burning Legion or any other bad guys...(BirdFox 04:45, 4 May 2007 (EDT))

Could be tricky as it would have to be in the past. also inter-faction commouncation would be nesciarry. I reckon a new battleground with a certain amount of kills to win would be cool. (User:bazza--Bazza 23:33, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

It needs to be gnomes vs. tauren FTW! --Xmuskrat 04:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Battle of Hellfire Peninsula

My idea for a new BG that would be accessed through the Caverns of Time.

20 years before WoW. The Old Gods through the infinite Dragonflight see the Battle of Hellfire Peninsula as another outlet to disrupt the timeline in their favor. The battle was largely inconclusive, as it only ended with Ner'zhul destroying Draenor with his portals. Both the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights see it like this: If the Alliance wins the battle outright, Turalyon will continue his campaign across Draenor, wiping out the Orcs who live there and then sending a large portion of his forces back to Azeroth to man the internment camps, preventing Thrall from ever escaping and creating the New Horde. However, if the Horde wins outright, Ner'zhul will completely annihilate a huge Alliance army, continue ruling Draenor (somewhat) in the name of the Burning Legion and rebuild his forces to return to Azeroth, thus starting the Second War all over again, leaving both the Alliance and Horde completely depleted and in no position to resist the Legion's return. Thus the Bronze Dragonflight is constantly recruiting adventurers from both sides to keep the battle going until Ner'zhul shatters Draenor.

The battleground would work like sort of a mix between Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley: Turalyon commands the Alliance from Honor Hold, while Kargath Bladefist commands the Horde from Hellfire citadel. Each side's citadel is well stocked with NPC's making capture very difficult. If one side does manage to infiltrate the opposing citadel and kill the enemy commander, the battle ends. The peninsula itself will be littered with towns and villages which when captured and held confer points and bonuses on the capturing team. After a set duration (say 5 minutes), the holding team will receive a number of NPC units (Human for Alliance, Orcish for Horde) depending on the towns they hold to attack their enemies' base as well as defend their own. There will also be powerful elite demons roaming the map which confer large amounts of points (and drop useful items) when killed. The first team to either kill the enemy commander or reach the (very high) point limit wins the match. --Julzwinfield 15:49, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Remove image

I think that the article would be much better if the 'Battlegrounds' image from the official website were removed and the text moved up. The image adds nothing to the article and only pushes the actual content downward. Any thoughts? --321 00:59, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

How about now?--SWM2448 01:11, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
It's much better, I was not aware that the text could be moved without deleting the image. I am still of the belief that an image should not be used if it does not really add anything to the article and this one does not add anything more then the title of the article does. However, I'm also new to this wiki, so it may just be my unfamiliarity with policies and practices here. --321 16:35, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Reporting Afk

Did reporting AFK in Bg's change in 2.3 or did it stay the same?
