Having just hit honored with Bloodsail Buccaneers, I wanted to see if anyone else would think it would be useful to add a "Rep Gains stop @" Column to these tables. Gonzalezeb 01:14, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

I've recently discovered another Booty Bay person who gives rep with the Bloodsails. In Duskwood, around 18,55, there is an alchemy merchant who is affiliated with Booty Bay. Added to the list, but an image would be nice if someone could arrange to help with that bit.

The Bloodsail-quests do give reputation... did anyone try to keep them until reaching 20999/21000 revered and the turning them in? might boost one to exalted :) btw. already killed him 1600 times --Tandria (talk) 12:55, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

I tried fixing this page because it incorrectly refers to the bruisers using a ranged attack. They don't. Someone reverted my edit. Ugh. Don't revert if you don't know the content. If you try perching (i.e. the bruiser can't reach you in melee) then they use a knockback attack. That is the only time. For regular grinding without trying to cheat they will never use a ranged attack. I think the whole how to kill bruisers section needs a rewrite because they are now a really wimpy opponent and the text dates from when they were an actual challenge.Polynices (talk) 00:00, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

They still use this attack on certain occasions, maybe when you jump down to a different level just after aggroing one, and when that happens, all you can hope for is to get kicked out in the bay to swim outwards to evade, or have a friend/pet to kill the gun-toting guard for you. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 09:59, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Nathanyel is quite correct but that's the only time and the original text implied it was a routine concern. I tried fixing up my edit to refer to the risk of cross-elevation aggro.Polynices (talk) 03:08, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I deleted the block that warns of how hard this grind supposedly is because it compares farming Bruisers to farming East Plaguelands! In other words, that is 3+ YEAR old advice. It quoted 800 rep per hour when now at 80 I can easily get 2000+ per hour.Polynices (talk) 03:09, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Changes in reputation gains Edit

Today I got 25 reputation from killing Captain Steelgut and First Mate Nilzlix and 5 rep from killing Doctor Draxlegauge and Professor Phizzlethorpe. I'm assuming other rep gain got changed as well, but I haven't tested that yet. --Ithilian Shadowsong (talk) 10:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Tested Faldir's Cove (and made changes), but nothing else. --Ithilian Shadowsong (talk) 11:05, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that was in the Patch Notes. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 16:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Restore your standing with Steamwheedle Edit

The Dire Maul strategy and the Southsea Freebooters strategy both say they are the fastest way to increase goblin rep without damaging Bloodsail rep. Only one of these can be true, unless it depends on secondary conditions, in which case those conditions should be mentioned. Can someone with more knowledge of this fix the Steamwheedle rep guide so we know which one is faster?

Edit: Did some research and fixed it myself, but someone who's actually done the grind should still double-check to make sure it's correct.--LockeZ (talk) 09:50, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
