Safe?
Anyone who has been ganked by a rogue begs to differ. --MonJoe 21:04, 6 January 2007 (EST)
Booty Bay isn't remotely safe. Calling it "One of the safest places in the game" is just absurd. Any rogue can drop you dead, and a good hunter won't have any trouble sniping folks off the docks or sending his pet to attack. Kestrel 14:52, 17 April 2007 (EDT)
Are there even any female goblins in that city. theres only like 3 in the whole game!Cormundo 14:15, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
No mounts in Booty Bay
One thing that's interesting in Booty Bay is that, unlike other cities, you cannot mount or use druid Travel Form in almost the entire city. You can mount in the tunnel, and there may be the small portion of land to the left that mounting is possible, but it is not possible in the rest of the city. I haven't tested it yet with the shaman's Ghost Wolf form, but it's probably not possible, since Ghost Wolf applies to outdoors only just like Travel Form. --Slxception 11:40, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed, the entire city is treated as indoors, with the exception of the water. Mounts don't go well with wooden constructions :) Kirkburn talk contr 19:03, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Bah, the goblins just don't want you mounting up in BB, cause its more annoying to clean animal droppings from wood than dirt. But who knows, maybe one day it will change, like Undercity did... not anytime soon though, most likely see Azeroth updated for flying mounts first lol

Neutral Town
I added the "neutral town" category to Booty Bay so it shows up on the neutral town page. It's a pretty key neutral area to both the Horde and Alliance, as it's a major flight point and boat dock, so made sense that it could be found that way.
New Year's Eve Gank-fest
I just logged out because the Bruisers are all asleep and the Horde is ganking anybody who shows up in Booty Bay. Apparently it's because of New Years Eve, all the Bruisers got drunk. Perhaps this is worth a mention on the main page? MaxWilder
- It's noted under the special event New Years. But it could have a small note about it here as well.

Even Non-Flagged?
The way many people have discussed this place here makes it sound as though anyone can be attacked, even if they are not flagged. Is this true? If so, WHY? Dalnir (talk) 03:53, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you at any point attack someone (even in self-defense) you'll be attacked by the guards.

- Yes it is clearer, though you still put phrases in that make me wonder, just like when you said "If you are not flagged, you can not be attacked... by other players." The way you separated "by other players" from the rest of the statement led me to believe that there must be something there that would attack me. Now when you say "If you attack a player (even if defending yourself)" this makes me wonder how it is possible that to attack a player while defending myself would flag my character. How could I be defending myself against an attack by another player if I was not already flagged? I believe though, from what you have said so far, that as long as I do not attack any players or NPCs, I will not be flagged, and therefore I will be safe from attack in town. If this is correct, then thank you for answering my questions. If I am wrong, please correct me. --Dalnir (talk) 03:45, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you manage to lower your rep with Booty Bay to the point where you are Hostile or Hated, the guards will attack you regardless of whether or not you're flagged. Otherwise, yes, if you do not attack any players or NPCs and you are unflagged the guards will leave you alone. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
