The actual model for a black tabby does not resemble a Maine Coon. They are rather large, come in a variety of colours, and do not always have stripes. They typically have bushier tales, something alluded to in almost all folklore surrounding the cat (a cross between a cat & a raccoon). The name change was undocumented, but happened in patch 1.6. Furthermore, "coon" was added to the profanity filter & that's why they really changed the name. Otherwise it turned the pet into "Maine @#$!" ›› Arideni ∙ т ∙ ♣ 17:18, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

I've read that there are raccoons in the models. That could be a future issue with the profanity filter ;).Baggins (talk) 18:08, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
