Talk:Chal Fairwind

Is she really a Wintersaber Trainer? Edit

Although she does have <Wintersaber Trainers> below her name, I doubt that she technically belongs to the Wintersaber Trainers. Currently I'm neutral with the Wintersaber trainers, so Rivern Frostwind's name appears in yellow, but Chal's name is green. The mobinfo addon also shows Chal as belonging to Darnassus (though I'm not sure how it determines this), which would make sense as I'm revered with Darnassus. Even stranger is, below Rivern's name stands the title of <Wintersaber Trainer>, but Chal's title is <Wintersaber Trainers> (i.e. plural), and the fraction is called Wintersaber Trainers (also plural) suggesting there's more then 1 trainer.

Also, from an in-game point of view: she's standing far away from all the sabers in Winterspring, and she doesn't have a pet like Rivern, so what is she doing there if she's a Wintersaber Trainer? --Xnyhps 02:04, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Hell im just throwing out a bunch of speculation but maybe her and the human guy are lovers? Thats why she's with him, she left the frostsaber rock to be with him. Makes sense cause blizzard has placed npcs alone without company before so i doubt they just added her to keep the guy company.--Whitedragon254 (talk) 22:00, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Due to her location, maybe she would've been the one to give the quests and Rivern was just the quartermaster? She's further south than he is, so she's geographically closer to all the mobs needed for the quests, whereas Rivern is on top the rock, to the northernmost end of the region. If that's the case, then I am really pissed that Blizz didn't make her the questgiver because it would've saved me a lot of time... But there's been quite a lot of NPCs before BC that had no point. In Winterspring as well, there's a dwarf in the den near Starfall Village who does nothing. And for some reason was speculated to be related to Hyjal. There's two humans on the shore just outside of Feathermoon Stronghold. And then there's Zalashji in his own cave named after him in Tanaris, yet he does nothing but travel in and out of his cave, he was also speculated to be related to the Great Sea. Blizz added way too much to Classic Azeroth that they never did anything with. I'm sure had they not, flight would've been enabled in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.
