What is up with the description on this item? What is "+12 spell critical"? Twelve spell critical strike rating? +12 damage to spell critical hits? +12% critical chance?

It gives 12 crit points. About 22 crit points equals a 1 percent increased chance of having a critical hit. It adds 3 percent bonus damage to your crits. If you crit for 2500 damge, then your new crit about is 2575 damage points, if the 3 percent applies to your 2500 damage total. I think it's a dps meta gem. If you crit 30 percent of the time, you are adding .3 x 3 percent or .9 percent damage to your attack, plus 12 crit points. Oldragnar 00:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Crit damage effect the new spell critcal ticks?
Wondering if this will effect the damage of my "critical" corruption and unstable affliction ticks? Has anyone tested it?
