Been playing with a DK a lot lately, so random information updates. Added/updated info for Pestilence in tanking tools --Raccoonmask 05:47, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Updated info on Mind Freeze (under Survivability) - took away damage mention, since it doesn't deal damage.

Added Frigid Deathplate to Frost Tanking Talents. Refrained from adding Howling Blast as AE damage. Should we add the damage talents to Frost section, or take away the damage talents from Unholy? We should use the same concepts for each one.

The damage talents in unholy are there I think because they are AoE damage, which is important for AoE tanking. --Cowlinator (talk) 19:51, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Shouldn't there be a mention of important stats (Expertise, Parry, etc.) and the recommended amounts? Felindre (talk) 14:56, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

3.1 Edit

3.1 has just about turned DKs on their heads as tanks, at least. The AoE tanking ability of the Unholy spec has undergone a pretty big nerf with the loss of 30% more Blood Boil damage with Outbreak. The loss has made it necessary to put points into Impurity, Ebon Plague, and Rage of Ravendare to increase the damage and threat of Blood Boil if Unholy is to keep its AoE tanking label. I previously ignored Impurity to no ill effects to my AoE tanking. In addition, the avoidance from the Blood tree's Blade Barrier has disappeared making it even more dangerous for the Unholy tank.

I'll have a crack at updating this page once I have a better handle on what's happened. Word to the wise, I knowledge is in Unholy and some in Frost. Blood tanking, I have little idea of other than the early view that it wasn't going to do well as it relied on taking the hits then getting health back.Rei-gouki (talk) 20:53, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
