Talk:Dire animal

I think we should rename this "Dire creature" because that is the name of the template. Another thing is that "Dire animals" are only some of the ones out there. A few of them are "Dire magical beasts". On WoWWiki, "magical beasts" are "beasts", but "beasts" are not all "animals" it says. So essentially, it would be "Dire creature" since that is the name of the template and because "magical beasts" and many "animals" are "beasts". Rolandius

- Since the source book calls them dire animals, dire animal is the name used. I'm not even sure to what template you're referring to. User:Coobra/Sig4 17:44, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- I was slightly confused. In Manual of Monsters, they mentioned the "dire creatures" template in Appendix III. I guess it was an a.k.a. for "dire animals" as it said the dire creature template was applied to an animal. It looks like the template was either never used and modified into just a category or was used as a template but later on was changed to just a category because by the time of Monster Guide they have the section on dire animals but do not mention it being a template. It is more of a category. So this article title is okay. Rolandius
