Validity

Can anyone verify that Dragon Isles and that snail looking thing is the same location? Because the file name of the image clearly states "Nazjatar render" --Voidvector 11:52, 29 December 2006 (EST)

Ok, I just got myself a copy of The Art of World of Warcraft. The page with the sea creature concept art does not have a name.AoWoW 140 In addition, the untextured model that is currently part of WoW is part of Designer Island, so it does not have a name either. I wonder where the original author got "Dragon Isles" from. --Voidvector 00:58, 31 December 2006 (EST)
The concept art is located in the game's MPQ files as it is used in the original WoW credits. "Dragon Isles" is part of the image's file name. Unfortunately with the way they've rearranged the MPQ files lately I can't find where they've moved the image to so I don't exactly have any proof. --ArrantPrac 03:53, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Alternate Interpretation

Here's an idea, what if "Dragon Isles" doesn't refer to an island with dragons on it, but instead refers to a dragon the size of an island? The pictured beast with the palace is more like a nautilus or kraken, (maybe a result of Naga magic on dragons?) but it's an idea. Cryptomancer 21:23, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

The giant sea fossil is most likely the remains of an old god or servant of the old gods with a naga palace built on top of it perhaps the naga remade the palace of azshara after it sank to the sea floor in the sundering?--Vrall 02:34, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
