why is it that so many of the quests here are dead ends?
Probably to leave Blizzard room for expansion. Talk on Thottbot says there's more to the quest strings (especially the blackened shield one), but there's so much that just hasn't been used yet. Darth603 02:23, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

I tried to break up the history section a bit, putting some of it in the Geography section and deleting a couple redundant bits. However, it is still really big compared to other zones. Herding Animals
Do we know what type of hearding animals would have lived there before the Sundering. Since it says Pre-Sundering herding animals grazed on the land. The only animals I could thnik of would be kodo, or the Horses enslaved by the Shadow Council that used to live in Desolace. Mr.X8 00:57, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Here's the clip- Dustwallow Marsh was once a high plain filled with herd animals that thrived on the tall grasses. Then came the great Sundering, and the plain was smashed down into a sundered valley. The water table bled up into the ruined landscape, creating the great marsh that exists today. -From Dustwallow Marsh's article.

Swamplight Manor continued?
No mention of the continuation of the Swamplight Manor plot? Before 2.3, Jarl was just a harmless old crazy. Now... he's a lot creepier, and the whole area's a little more whacked.
