Talk:Ethereal
From WoWWiki
There should be more info on this page about the Protectorate, and specifically what Commander Ameer has to say about who the ethereal are. A good link of what he says on blizzplanet: http://blizzplanet.com/content/641/

'ethereal without wrappings'
The image of the 'Ethereal without wrappings' looks like a Mana-Wraith or Mageslayer, and I've never heard that they have anything to do with the Ethereals.--Scrotch 22:16, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
- Honestly I think we can blame this on Blizzard's lack of interest in building new models. I do not believe the Ethereals are at all related to some of the similar-modeled creatures we're used to seeing such as Mana Wraiths and Shades. They are all made of energy, yes, but we know that energy-beings seem to come in all shapes and sizes (such as Naaru and Voidwalkers). Lilyth 01:29, 20 April 2007 (EDT)
The name of that particular model is literllay "unbound Ethereal" So its the current model we have for an unbound etheral. It certainly is blizzard's lazyness, but the point in the article is sound none the less. Rampage29

I saw some more of these "Ethereal without wrappings" at Bash'ir Landing and they were called Bash'ir Subprimals (elite) and Unbound Ethereals. I am not sure if Bash'ir is connected to the Ethereum. Rolandius
