If Harpies are descended from Night Elves and Satyrs are descended from the Kaldorei...

Admitidly, they kdnap any man they meet, but they are all girls and the satyrs are all boys. Hmmmmmm. Charred But Alive 09:07, 23 June 2006 (EDT)

There are probably female satyrs, we just haven't seen any yet (think Ogres and Gnolls or even every race other than humans, half-orcs , dryads and harpies pre-WoW). Saimdusan 22:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Heritage

The speculation section at the end bothers me. In both the Manual of Monsters and the Monster guide, the only explanation they give is that the Harpies were transformed by Azshara as punishment, although both books state this is only a rumor. I don't remember Cenarius saying that the Keepers and Dryads were originally Night Elves in the Well of Eternity, and all other sources of lore states them to be his children. Unless someone can confirm that that's what Cenarius said in WoE, I'd like to remove this section. --Austin P 14:36, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I did look check back on the Well of Eternity book, and it says that certain Night Elves were altered and became forest guardians, but it doesn't given any details beyond that. --Austin P 13:50, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Language

How come all of Player's Guides say that the races native to Kalimdor speak either Common or Low-Common? That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. How would the harpies have learned Common if humans didn't reach Kalimdor until Jaina Proudmoore's expedition? It makes more sense that they would speak Darnassian, because of their relationship to the Night Elves. Please, Blizzard, retcon!!! ~ Grudgham (talk) 19:21, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

This is not a forum. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 13:21, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
