(Minimum) Level Limitations Edit

This section has not yet been written. I remember encountering a minimum level limitation for the first time while "honoring the ancestors" (Chinese New Year event). I was attempting to sneak into the Sunken Temple, but was rejected at the portal due to "Minimum level: 35" or some such. Does anyone know what the rule is on this one? Time Limitations (Heroic) Edit

The information under this heading is not complete. Yes, the heroic instances in Outland are reset after a day, but Karazhan and the 25 man Outland raid instances are reset after a week, and Zul Aman is reset after about half a week or so. It would be useful to record for each heroic and raid instance exactly how long the reset period is.--Persimmon 18:26, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Saved to instance Edit

This section has not yet been written.

An instance is NOT automatically saved the second you step into it. This could be useful to know about --- for example, if you are doing the heroic daily quest and you find yourself in a particularly bad PUG, I think you can leave the party and try again later, as long as the instance has not yet been saved.

Does anyone know what triggers the act of saving the instance? Is it the first boss killed, for example? It would be useful to record this for each instance. --Persimmon 18:26, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

You are saved when the first boss is killed. Zoning into an instance in which a boss has already been killed will automatically save you as well. -- Dark T Zeratul 20:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
I checked if Herbing/Mining saves you, and it doesn't. Dark T has the correct mechanics. -- Snax, 03.02.08

Time limit / death limt Edit

What I'm looking for isn't here either. I recently tried to solo Scarlet Monastery Cathedral. I got as far as the final bosses, then died for the Nth time (I wasn't counting). When I resurrected at the entrance, I found that the instance had reset, and I would have to start over. This would be less frustrating if someone could tell me whether I died too many times (how many?), or whether I exceeded a time limit.

EDIT: The mobs (minus bosses/mini bosses) are on a timer. When the timer expires, the mobs respawn, the instance doesn't actually "reset".
