I haven't tested it extensively, but the 2.1 patch seems to have changed intervene. I think there's no longer any need to change targets - you'll intervene the aggro of your targeted mob automatically, and stay targetted. That is, instead of assist-intervene-assist, simply use the ability. If I'm correct, the page should probably reflect that... --Falos 03:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunately, you still have to target a friendly player. If you click on the ability, you'll get a blue hand cursor and you can click on a party member to intervene for them without having to change your current target. It's still annoying, especially if you don't have party members shown on your screen when you're in a raid. Apophos 02:31, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Use a macro, it should be easy to set up. --Pcj (TC) 02:38, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I set up a macro that I stole and modified from the paladin macro for Rightous Defense. If I'm targeting an enemy, it will be cast on my target's target, but if I target a friendly, it will attempt to cast it on the target. Saves me lots of time in that I can use the same button (but different targets, obviously) for when I need to get away from Murmur's sonic boom as when I lose aggro on an enemy that is out of taunt range. Check out the paladin macros page if u want it, thats where i originally got it from (This website is awesome, lol).Denim-Force
