With todays bestiary update it seems they are hostile. Course there could be a friendly faction similar to the Thorium Brotherhood which could be the Alliance friendly. Leviathon 19:50, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Well its possible there is a small group who doesn't agree with what their brethren are doing and ally with the Alliance being the Alliance counterpart to the Taunka and the Horde. At least the Taunka have horde towns labeled for them that are readable (Winter Tauren towns). But near the Grizzly Hills border is a alliance town in Howling Fjord which is un-readable so its possible that could be a Iron Dwarves town. Leviathon 22:55, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
But Grizzlemaw is a neutral faction it seems. I would just think maybe its possible that it would be a Iron Dwarves town since that is where they were first discovered similar to how Taunka were first seen in Borean Tundra. Leviathon 17:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- But there is NO evidence pointing to the Iron Dwarves being anything but hostile. the town is near Furbolgs, who are neutral, not hostile. There's just no reason at all that the Iron Dawrves would be in a town controlled by the Alliance, despite speculation of small groups that disagree with the majority. After re-doing the Howling Fjord Design Layout map I kinda figured that it is unlikely that was a Iron Dwarves town. Can see Blizzard just taking the easy way out and using the Explorers' League as the Alliances counterpart to the Hordes Taunka. Leviathon 00:24, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- And we don't know that the Taunka are Horde for sure...they may be neutral, or even hostile. We can't for sure say that there are going to be certain races allied with other races until Blizzard tells us, "Yeah, Taunka are going to help Thrall up in Northrend."Aliron 23:20, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
It is pretty clear that Taunka are friendly to Horde. Since Winter Tauren villages wouldn't mean anything else. Leviathon 16:48, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

- The "Winter Tauren Village" is what Blizzard named the Horde town in Borean Tundra. Most towns on the Blizzcon maps just had general names describing what it was (such as Winter Tauren Village, Tuskarr Village, Alliance Town and etc.) and not the names of the actual town. The Dragonblight map though for the Horde town does have the word Taunka in parenthesis. Leviathon 03:47, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Specluation - Relation To IF?
I highly doubt this, personally. Ironforge was so-called after the bloodline and the fact it sounds, well, Dwarveny. After all, iron and forging is all they seem to bloody do back in those days (before the Explorers' League, that is). I doubt there is any actual correlation with the race of 'Iron Dwarves', and are just called as so for the same reason - it sounds Dwarveny. I may be wrong, after all, but what stops the Iron Dwarves from being linked with the reason of Dwarf civilisation too, especially if they are the unanimous 'missing link'? The claim on the page just seems a bit too specific for my liking, as if the original author really didn't think... Melaisis 22:24, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Mmmm, not so much IF dwarves I think, but perhaps the vrykul, projenators of humanity. There are some "iron vrykul" it would seem, as there are a few screenshots of 3 different iron vrykul on mmo-champions, plus one of the bosses in Ulduar is apparently one of these iron vrykul. Classes
I recently fixed up the page and went through all the known iron dwarf mobs, Right now there is Runemaster, Warrior, Hunter, Shaman (yes shaman, alot of npcs have shaman spells), Mage, Priest. If you find these classes strange, go to wowhead and look up iron dwarf. The Same Model as thing, then go through the npcs there. --Whitedragon254 (talk) 17:02, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
