Does anyone know where exactly this isle is located? Is it closer to Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms?

About halfway between, south of them both. --Xmuskrat 10:45, 8 September 2006 (EDT)

Ah, thanks. This raises some questions as to how the Goblins came into the Horde during the Second War though, doesn't seem like there is any clear story on that yet. --Korgo 00:48, 15 September 2006 (EDT)

Kazan/Kezan?[]

Why does the RPG map have it spelled "Kazan" if it was originally named "Kezan"? --Gengar orange 22x22 Fandyllic (talk · contr) 5:15 PM PST 7 May 2008

You got mixed up. It was originally spelled Kazan. But WoW and later sources gave an updated spelling. The map you refer to was released around the time of The Frozen Throne.Baggins (talk) 00:23, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Maybe it was too reminiscing of Kazan, "one of Russia's largest cities". Doesn't sound like the Warcraft city has anything to do with the Russian city, so they changed the name slightly when they noticed that. And yes, I remembered "Kazan" because of Quantum of Solace ending there Winky ~ Nathanyel (talk) 18:31, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Please Note[]

"Goblin players will start on the Isle of Kezan and then head to the Lost Isles in the South Seas before joining the mainland." from http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/faq/ —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SandersP (talk · contr).

That can be noted, but the when is still unknown. Intro movie? First level? First quest? Ninth level/quest? Kirkburn may know.--SWM2448 19:45, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
The other info on races and capitals has not been verified so shouldn't the page exclude that information? SandersP (talk) 20:46, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
If the 'other info' is what I am thinking of (the infobox?), it is about an often-mentioned but never seen pre-Cataclysm Kezan. That brings up the question of what to do with other pre-Cataclysm info. It is not wrong, it just changed...--SWM2448 20:50, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Then I guess it makes since to leave it as it is until the expansion is released :P SandersP (talk) 20:53, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

We don't know if it is actually a 1-5 zone.it could just be an intro movie of kezan we don't know we are actually going to play there.Almasa (talk) 01:38, May 3, 2010 (UTC)

I think it was explicitly confirmed as a 1-5 zone somewhere, but: the playable part at BlizzCon and subsequent conventions starts at level 5, for goblins it was the Lost Isles, and we know they just arrived from Kezan. This and pre-Cataclysm Gilneas are the new DK starting area as in instanced prequels of non-instanced zones - well, we don't know yet whether we can return to Kezan, but it'll still be instanced. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 14:39, May 3, 2010 (UTC)

The Volcano[]

It's actually revealed that a footbomb causes the volcano to explode, as your character tries to get the footbomb over the post, but you kick it too far and hits the volcano, causing it to explode. Odd way I know. :l Kranitoko (talk) 10:49, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

I have a feeling that bit is just a coincidence to make you think, "oh crap, I screwed up big time." -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 15:58, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
It's never explicity stated you cause it and left open as to if you did or it was a coincidence. It's pretty comical either way. :p -- Zeal (T/C)  16:08, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
Most likely as Zeratul said, that or the footbomb merely accelerates the eruption, which is caused mainly by the Cataclysm - because, when else do the Goblin starting areas show effects of the Cataclysm? The destruction/eruption of the mountain/volcano on the Lost Isles is caused by defeating (Goblin for "blowing up") the Volcanoth. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 18:54, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Map[]

So, the zone map is Kezan or Bilgewater Port? Let's not continue reverting. Kirkburn  talk  contr 17:48, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

The zone and map are labeled as Kezan. Im positive everyone understands whats shown is only a small piece of the island (Blidgewater Port). But if were trying to remain accurate with how it's labeled and found in-game then Kezan is the appropriate label here.Warthok Talk Contribs 17:54, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Information from vanilla Zandalari trolls[]

This is something I always forget to post: there's a ton of information about troll-goblin relationships in the gossip texts of Zandalar tribe#known members. I'll try to add some later, but help is appreciated.--Lon-ami (talk) 16:55, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Yojamba Isle is gone. So many of those guys are removed. So much gossip text not transcribed...--SWM2448 18:20, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Dem trollz[]

Jungle trolls being on the isle refers to the now retconned description, no? --Mordecay (talk) 21:00, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

They're in the starting zone as mining slaves and are even seen inside the Undermine in that small tunnel. They revolt as a part of the questline. -Cannibeans (talk) 21:08, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
The slaves are all forest trolls. I can't think of any jungle trolls in the zone. ReignTG (talk) 21:20, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
Yea, but they are supposedly to be jungle trolls as per this. Then the Chronicles changed it to Zandalari trolls. --Mordecay (talk) 00:06, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Are these slaves even native?--SWM2448 00:16, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Ah! Not stated. Although some trolls are mentioned here --Mordecay (talk) 00:21, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
From all the sources I've read, that have been cited on the article, goblins were stranded here after the sundering. The trolls (Zandalari) happen to find them while exploring and taking control of the island. Now as we know the Zandalari comprises all the subtrolls in their culture. So these jungle trolls could have been part of the Zandalari and joined them to take control or over the thousands of years the Zandalari adapted and became the jungle trolls. As for the forest trolls being used... I'd say their model looks more intimidating and Blizzard decided to use them so as to not confuse them with the Darkspear trolls that the goblins would then later join. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 00:34, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
I think it's more likely that they just retconned the initial jungle trolls into Zandalari honestly. ReignTG (talk) 02:56, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Maelstrom map?[]

Why is it on the maelstrom map if you can't access it (aside from the goblins that lower than level 5)? --Mew! 18:32, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

I guess to show it still exists? A small detail even though you can't access it. --Ryon21 (talk) 20:13, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
