Ok, Six and the Twelve?

The 12 are mentioned in one of the novels I presume? Does it state specifically that 12 are equal to the Six?

Cause it doesn't seem the case according to the APG, which has a specific delination of power, it states, and this is just the brief version;

"The Kirin Tor has a ruling council of six archmagi...Beneath the ruling council are the archmagi, each of whom is given task as the council see fits..Magi are the lowest members of the Kirin Tor, and answer to the archmagi"^{APG 155}.

So it would seem that the council of 6 archmagic, has more political power than the 12 archmagi. In turn the 12 archmagi have more power than the "magi".Baggins 00:20, 9 December 2006 (EST)

WotLK?

Hey, I was just wondering something. Should we make the little tidbit about the Kirin Tor being a faction in WotLk at the top a whole new section, or wait until more info about it comes around? Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart (talk) 23:17, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

We'll probably create a new article for the faction rewards, quest-givers, in-game use, etc, or reformat the article itself. Either way, wait until more information is avaliable (feel free to make a brief mention if you like). --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 00:42, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

About time someone gets on this, all the information should be available now. So far the only in-game detail is that Dalaran is floating above Northrend (no duh) and that there's a faction quartermaster for them in Dalaran. Desolation0 (talk) 17:47, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Forsaken

I'm hoping (but not expecting) that there will be some kind of information towards the Kirin Tor's stance on the Forsaken in WotLK. The Kirin Tor are strictly against necromancy, but would they allow a product of necromancy into their ranks if they strictly practiced arcane magic despite their condition? Or, even juicier, if someone who was already a member of the Kirin Tor became a Forsaken, would he have his membership revoked? --Adonzo (talk) 08:55, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
