Does "identical spell" include the casting time? Or does it just immediately fire off a second bolt even if you've changed targets or moved? --WoWWiki-Bobson (talk) 20:47, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

It works like and instant spell. You dont have to cast it... or to cast anything else. You can move and change target, but damage from that additional spell will count on a previous target. IconSmall Troll Male.gifBirdFox  talk  contr IconSmall Undead Male.gif 21:00, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Updated Edit

Removed the now redundant information and updated the talent to its current working, removed the OOD notice and updated the mini-calculation in the Notes section to reflect current numbers. Math is not my strongpoint, so anyone better versed should feel free to correct it. -Cormorra (talk) 23:46, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

I think 16.5% is correct, but I'm not sure. The two spells do different amounts of damage, have different cast times, and don't impact the same number of targets. However, given the way crits work and the target hopping for Chain Lightning, I wouldn't expect a flat 16.5% - RNG might make that go up or down, depending when it happened to proc. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 8:37 PM, 12 Jul 2009 (EDT)
