I think that the M'uru page had turned into basically just a quick preamble and then this debate. I disagree with the request to merge them back together. Dylan Bissel 01:40, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Counter to Naaru Nuke theory Edit

the given explanation is lame and doest give any point, the narus could be cleansing the worl of the blood elves, who could maybe or not, fall in a siphoning rampage of all magic forms and needing to be destroyed. "the future of my race lies with you naaru" or something like that implies that mabey vorenthal saw the destruction of the blood elves and is its way to find a way to save his people... since kael is mad as a cow, a fel energy siphoning cow.--Beloren 01:51, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

In Support of Martyr Theory Edit

I think M'uru was captured against his will and is still held, against his will, beneath Silvermoon. A'dal however realizes that by temporarily sacrificing M'uru to the Blood Elves, he empowers a great many new Blood Knights eager to help combat the scourge and the legion. Though M'uru would like to escape or be rescued, A'dal simply can not do this without compromising the war effort and, given that Naaru are immortal anyway, not much is lost by letting him sit tight until the conflict is resolved.

I don't edit much, but since this is a talk page i thought i would just throw in an idea that had occured to me recently, if fel magic warps whatever is saturated with it into a demon, and arcane magic has similar properties (the whole "Wrethched" thing) then isn't it possible that holy magic might have a similar effect, or at least neutralize the changes fel magic causes? after all the draenei are able to use "gift of the naaru" whenever they like because they've been exposed to the holy light for so long, is it possible that the naaru have a long term plan to make the blood elves less hostile?Xlel 03:26, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Naaru Nuke theory revamped Edit

While I am not particularly for the theory... Its safe to say that eventually Mu'ru becomes the 'Dark Naaru' at the end of his life cycle, consuming souls, creating Voidwalkers... The Bloodknights would attempt to use the holy light and instead fling out a Shadow Bolt or something, many of the BK's would meet up or decide not to use the power and return to Silvermoon city to discover that a section of the city has been quarantined off due to the unstable void energies...

Now Kael'thas Sunstrider did manage to defeat Mu'ru but with great difficulty, and we must remember that to fight him we are granted weapons that are of demigod'ish power, Kael'thas is probably more powerful or on less then equal terms with Illidan, if only by a fraction of power. And with A'lar, the countless blood elven soldiers, and possibly the Loot- I mean Void Reaver along with the Astromancer who is a powerful Felmage who dwelves deeply into the void... Now while we can't place them at power levels such as Mannoroth or Archimonde, its safe to say that despite Arch in WoW being Equal with Illidan, you have to remember that he got nuked by wisps... The Primal Fury of Nordrassil, Archimonde defeated Malorn who was the most powerful of Demigods with little over a scratch, nothing of mortal consequence would match his level, with Mannoroth you must remember that Mannoroth is a Warrior and not a caster, While had had powers in Fel he was perhaps as powerful as the weakest Archmage on the Kirin tor - Its safe to say that Mu'ru is incredibly powerful and may rival the WOTLK's "Magtheridon".

As for BK's and A'dal, It is possible that he is doing all he can to free Mu'ru and eventually convince the BK's in Outland to 'revolt' and free Mu'ru, and 'embrace' the light - But if Mu'ru turns into the Void before that happens, then Blood Knights would possibly turn to A'dal for guidance and use the 'new given' Holy Light to save Mu'ru... Of course Ogrimmar would be put into action, and Overlord Saurfang would destroy Mu'ru the moment he breathed...

We Should Create a Quest Chain Edit

  • We should make the M'uru quest chain that allows Thrall, Cairne, Vol'jin, Sylvanas, and Loth'remar to speak to M'uru to investigate the creation of the Blood Knights and to find the true reason to why M'uru stays in Silvermoon this whole time. Garm 14:41, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
WoWWiki does not 'make' things, Blizz does.--SWM2448 17:35, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

The truth Edit

The PTRs have revealed a huge chunk of the story! Read General Tiras'alan's page.--SWM2448 17:35, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Ah, the redemption of my people, and the resolution of so much debate. Now then, I move that as soon as everything is confirmed with the release of patch 2.4 we delete this page. Meneldir 17:29, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Nope! Don't delete! It is a shame to see long debates deleted :( At least archive it wherever it belongs... IconLarge Troll Male Ravenore , the Necroshadowmancer 04:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Dark Naaru Theory- Bebuzzu Edit

"As a mage, I have used teleportation to go to the grand city of Shattrath more than my worth. I, of course, was mesmerized by the grand light that was A'dal. Of course I went into study and found connections between it and the speculation that the legendary Ashbringer was made from the remnants of a naaru. I found that the studys of the legendary opposites, shadow and light, were a great explanation in themselves. As said before, 'Can there be light without dark?'. Since scientifically darkness is lack of light, it would make sense that if Mu'ru was seeped dry of his light magic that he would become the dark naaru he is. It is likely that he turns into the void god only as a action after the last bit of light you see in him fails." -Bebuzzu
