Hmm - I've never made a priest to lvl 30, nor have I ever had this cast on me in PvP except in "silly" encounters. But what's the drawback of this spell? What's to stop you casting mind control on an opposite faction guy and having him run off and aggro 5 mobs? Hex 11:55, 27 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Mind control has very, VERY short range of channeling so you can't run so far that way. Charging with a mind controlled mob would be like a warlock sending his pet, it makes him get in combat aswell, aggro'ing the mobs themselves. Another important thing to mention is that many mobs of a certain faction are immune to mind control so casting it would only anger the mob --Angellic 07:49, 19 August 2006 (EDT)

MC also has other limitations - the attack speed is down 25% and you can't use the abilities of other players. As for mobs, you can only use the spells that Blizz says you can use. I've MC'd mobs that have Mind Blast, but never get to use it myself. Also, many of the spells have cooldowns which make them really inefficient - I think the standard is around 30secs. MC is also very tempermental; mobs break it all the time. You really gotta be on your toes, b/c it creates a nice chunk of hate. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Motlycys (talk · contr).

Also, I am able to solo several instances using Mind Control, Ive done Blood Furnace, And the Surviving Mob I MC and then move onto the next!

And lets not even think about the destruction you can cause with Shadow Volley!

Pure Pwnage!

Mob's MC

Many mobs can mind-control players, and i've noticed that while MC'd, my character uses abilities which require a cooldown, but I didn't notice if this activated the cooldown. Anyone know if this occurs? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cowlinator (talk · contr).

Yes, cooldowns are activated. Mind controlling mobs seem to find and trigger every single cooldown a character has. --bfx (talk) 09:12, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
