Bloodsail Buccaneers rep limits

While rep farming for Steamwheedle Cartel, I've noticed that the Bloodsail Buccaneers in Stranglethorn Vale are giving different rep. With all of my reps now in Honored range, I see:

  • Killing standard mobs displays (Steamwheedle Cartel +1) rep message. Booty Bay gets no increase, while others get +0.5 increase.
  • Killing named mobs displays (Steamwheedle Cartel +5) rep message. Booty Bay gets +5 increase, while others get +2.5 increase.
  • The Friendly 3000 limit appears to be gone. I passed those points with no changes.
  • The Honored 6000 limit also appears to be gone for most, but not all, mobs. (Wastewander mobs still appear limited)

Only half the time was (Steamwheedle Cartel +<number>) appeared. But each kill added to the total rep regardless. Seems at Revered that the +5 NPCs don't give reputation either.

Southsea Pirates & Wastewander

Testing out the rep gains from Southsea Pirates & Wastewander I discovered although Gadgetzan gains zero rep at Revered, the mobs still gave the 50% flow on rep to Booty Bay, Everlook and Ratchet which are also all Revered.

Testing at level 70, where the mobs are all grey.

Southsea Freebooters

Testing out the rep gains from Southsea Freebooters south of Ratchet I discovered although Ratchet gains zero rep at Revered, the mobs still gave the 50% flow on rep to Booty Bay, Everlook and Gadgetzan which are also all Revered.

Testing at level 70, where the mobs are all grey.

Tazan who trades with the Southsea Freebooters didn't increase any reputation with the tests, however the NPC's page appears to indicate that Tazan increases Ratchet Reputation. I'll need to get a character down there not Revered with Ratchet to test this.
