Issue with Mortal Strike's highest rank

Isn't it higher than rank 4? I would check it myself, but thott doesn't seem to have Mortal Strike on it, and I'm too lazy to log on in game.Pyro 05:30, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Wowhead.com is your friend. It goes up to rank 6 now. Rank 4 is the max pre-expansion. The page just hasn't been updated yet. Pzychotix 09:19, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

question about Mortal Strike's damage

Does this mean that mortal strike with a Taran Icebreaker does mroe damage than a mortal strike with a Kang the Decapitator because their weapon damage is based on the same multiplier speed of 3.3 seconds rather than the weapons original speed? Does this mean that the weapon with the highest DPS does the most mortal strike damage?

Mortal strike draws its power directly from a weapon's top end damage coupled with a bonus from your attack power. It is not related to a weapon's dps. It is normalized so the multipler is 3.3, yes, but slower weapons are still more desirable for MS because they usually happen to have higher top end damage than their faster counterparts.
