Forgotten Coast[]

Low-level dungeons item changes list --Phoenics 04:40, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Removed the part about the Forgotten Coast >< Feathermoon boat being Night Elven from World Environment, as this has been on live since 2.2. --Zerothelegend 20:41, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Uhm, I was just at Feathermoon on live (2.2) and it's the "human" ship. I'm putting this note back in. User:Tekkub/Sig 08:27, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Hatchet Hills to Light's Hope Cathedral[]

If I may be so blunt... How the crappula does that work? Isn't the whole expansion thing being on an entirely different set of maps (Expansion01) kind of going to hinder that? I guess it must work like Zeppelins or something... ~ Doc Lithius [U|T|C] 01:42, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

You zone, what's so hard to understand about that? :P User:Tekkub/Sig 01:49, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
It is a bit strange since it wasn't possible for the Exodar and Silvermoon, but it is possible for ZA now (why no portal?). --Lynos 00:36, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
I just zipped through this flight point from Hatchet Hills to Tarren Mill. It surprises me that I never thought of this 'til it happened, but predictably...the bat flew through the portal. Not over it or a around it, but through. Simple. Makes me wonder why Blizzard didn't implement this sooner, though... Sure, it's "OMG HORDE BIASED" for this to exist in a way, but the flight point there at Hatchet Hills (which, in my opinion, shouldn't even be there... There are no quest NPCs there that I can see, though there're Horde (all-green) guards...) is indeed neutral, so I dunno... Can't wait to see where the flight point for the Sunwell Plateau's gonna be. ;P ~ Doc Lithius [U|T|C] 06:56, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Hunter's range and deadzone[]

I'm sure that I found somewhere that the new range for Hunters is 5-35 (without talents), but I can't find the information again... Can someone help with that? --Sul'jin 16:53, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Correct, but I have no immediate source either :P Kirkburn  talk  contr 17:29, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Well I sure as heck didn't know that. The first thing I did was (re)spec when I jumped on the Test Realm... Last I checked, with talents, it was something like 4-40 yards? I forget already... ~ Doc Lithius [U|T|C] 10:01, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
New shot range is 5-35 yards without talents. However deadzone is still exists however it looks now more like "dead line" lol. Mages still can abuse hunter, however they get 1-2 more melee\ranged hits while they try to reach "dead line"

Warrior's free Respec[]

Last I heard, we weren't getting a free respec. Can anyone confirm whats written in the article? Aielchief 08:06, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

According to Eynoix, there will be no free respecs with 2.3: [1] -- Dark T Zeratul 06:24, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Kill limit in AV?[]

I've heard a rumor that there is going to be a '600 kill and the game is over' limit in AV. Anyone else heard this? --Azaram 05:58, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Slightly misinterpreted. Each team gets a reinforcement count, when people die the count gets lower. When it reaches zero, that team loses. I think there is a way to get more reinforcements, not sure how.   Zurr  TC 07:04, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Each captured mine will generate 1 reinforcement per 45 seconds. So, mines was quite topular PvP place on PTR - every one wants a reinforcements regen.
Thanks (somewhat belatedly). --Azaram 05:06, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

2.3 != Arena S3[]

Under the PvP tab it stated that S1 gear will be available on the honor vendors. I edited it to include "--once S3 commences" because that is when it becomes available. I further believe that this should not even be listed on this page, the S1 gear moving to honor as nothing to do with 2.3 let alone 'undocumented changes'. I'm a noob to wiki moderation or else I'd change it further myself. Grdn1014 21:45, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Also, about 50% of these are in the patch notes >< Grdn1014 21:54, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Primals in Mining Bag[]

Similar to Primal Life going into the Herb Bag, was it possible to have Primal Earth and Fire in your Mining Bag prior to 2.3? I'm pretty sure it wasn't, but it is now. Doogie2K 15:58, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Really undocumented?[]

Isn't

Prayer of Mending: This ability will no longer be overwritten when the new Prayer of Mending would do less healing.

and

Prayer of Mending can no longer be reapplied if the target already has it.

probably the same? --Lynos 22:20, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Hunter FD during Raid Boss Fights[]

The Hunter Feign Death WILL remove you from Combat during any and all encounters; Trash Mobs, Raid Boss's, Outdoor encounters, etc. However, if you try to drink mana like before, or switch a trinket, it will state you are in combat but it does NOT actually put you IN combat. If a wipe occurs, the boss or trash mob will not target you, you will be left alone as before, and survive the wipe. Hence, it DOES remove you from combat, dropping all aggro, like before. No idea how people keep getting this mixed up. --Brakkis

Wiping aggro and leaving combat are two different things, does PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED fire? If not, you aren't leaving combat. It may be that you wipe aggro, but don't leave combat until the boss resets (I've not tested here...) User:Tekkub/Sig 22:11, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

five packers removed[]

Not sure if this was done in an earlier patch, but this is the first time I've been in the area to notice... In Demon Fall Canyon, Ashenvale, the groups of 5 felhunters used to roam all over the place in this area. They have been removed. Also Diathorus the Seeker was once deep with in the den, he is now near the entrance. Coobra 21:45, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Went ahead and added the changes, if they were removed prior to 2.3 then I apologize. Coobra 22:25, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Those were definitely 2.3 changes. I did that quest recently in 2.2 and those felhunters were a pain in the ass. So was having to go so far down into the Barrow Dens. Very good change, IMO. -- Dark T Zeratul 22:28, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Good to know, thankyou for confirming. Coobra 22:32, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Fishing 475[]

Is this a typo, or am I a fishing noob?

  • Fishing difficulty for Skysong Lake in Nagrand has increased. Prior to 2.3.0, fishing skill of 475 was adequate to always be successful. Post 2.3.0 they will escape occasionally at the same level.

Is there actually a way to stack enough bonuses to get fishing to 475? Dirkbronze 06:38, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes, Max skill can be 375. With the +100 to fishing bobber alone would do it. But most people would have one of the good fishing poles which would have +20-30 to fishing on them. Then theres the fishing hat... --Coobra 06:46, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
