Yay! After being hit with the Nerf Stick so many times, I was gettin' a complex! Glad to see things like "engineers get more benefit from potion injectors". The enhancements to "engineering enchantments" are nice, but not a decision point for me. The saronite bombs for siege purposes have seemed quite silly to me; the CD is such that I can't imagine any reasonable increase in siege damage being worthwhile. And glad to see any number of the other "annoyance reduction" changes. --[[User:Eirik Ratcatcher|Eirik Ratcatcher]] ([[User talk:Eirik Ratcatcher|talk]]) 21:02, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Tier 9 Raid

So, looks like the Argent Coliseum will be the "secret surprise" Tier 9 Raid, unless Blizzard has something else we don't know yet. Orisai (talk) 19:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

I wouldn't place any bets on Tier 9, the Coliseum could provide sidegrades, kinda like the respective Zul raids were not top-iLvl ones when they were released. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 20:38, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Or this could be a nice replacement for a third wing in the Vault of Archavon instance. Orisai (talk) 20:47, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
I Think ( my oppinion ) that there will be another instance (besides the Argent Coliseum) that will be the Tier 9 raid. The Coliseum will have Tier 8 quality or less much like the other rewards from the Argent Tournament Grounds. -- (<span="help title=Morph>M o r p h | <span="help title=Morph_Contribution(s)_to_this_Wiki>C | <span="help title=Morph_Discussion_Page>T) <imagelink>IconSmall_Gnome_Male.gif|Gnome|Morphgnome</imagelink><imagelink>IconSmall_Draenei_Male.gif|Draenei|Morphdraenei</imagelink> 21:13, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Keeping in the spirit of the original game and BC, Tier 9 will likely be Icecrown Citadel. I would think that the Coliseum would correspond with a combination of MgT (the 5-man) and ZA (though ZA didn't come in a 25-man version, it's roughly the same idea). --Joshmaul (talk) 01:32, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I wonder what bosses we'll fight? Maybe a resurrected Black Knight? Or a new Arugal reborn instance? Or corrupted Argent Dawn/Crusade champions? I'm so excited! Or maybe something pre-Icecrown Citadel, i.e. "lesser Scourge" before the big clash at Arthas' palace. --User:ShandrisForever 07:27, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't think we're gonna fight "evil hostages", to send them to their death in an arena wouldn't really be something the Argent Crusade/Tirion would do/allow. I'm guessing more of an extended "arena quests" setting, with valiants and champions duking it out, "who's the best fighter?" or such. Probably again with faction-specific opponents, as a Horde party/raid, you're gonna face Alliance representants, and the other way around. I can even see a mechanic of not death as victory, but rather defeat/unconsciousness, even for players, which probably disables durability loss, but also Spell nature reincarnation [Rebirth], Spell shaman improvedreincarnation [Reincarnation] and Spell nature timestop [Divine Intervention]. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 09:26, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I think it'll probably be just actually having players duke it out while mounted. No instance. It wouldn't make sense to have it as one anyways. Instances are usually based on out of control conflicts in which we have to stabilize. A controlled area? Not so much. It's possible the Black Knight could be resurrected, but I doubt he's worth a second thought to the Lich King. He was just a member of the Cult of the Damned. All he would serve is just another disposable death knight. It is more likely it'll be some newer reward system based on the amount of wins you get in jousting, since that's been the theme of the entire Tournament. They've had us duke it with NPCs to rise to Champions, now all that's left is the Champions fighting each other for final glory. Might not even be PvP, but still just PvE. As far as the preparations for fighting the Scourge thing, it may just be more dailies based on taking down Scourge forces like bringing down a frost wyrm and some Cultists and facing off against death knights and lesser minions in front of the Citadel. Don't expect an Arthas encounter anytime soon. One major goal of Blizz's is to do this right. They killed Illidan off too fast during BC and had to save themselves with bringing back Kael and introducing Kil'jaeden into the picture. Arthas will be the very last fight. They still have Deathwing to bring in with Grim Batol and finally revealing Uldum's purpose. Unless they mention the next expansion at this year's BlizzCon, I don't see this wrapping up within the next year or two. Who knows? Blizz has been working on the Emerald Dream since the production of the classic WoW. --Mykael Mourningsun
Blizzard actually said when they announced it that it WOULD be an instance. Two, actually - a five-man and a raid. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:14, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
But... why? What's the actual conflict? Are the bosses just gonna be named Champions? --Mykael Mourningsun

This is going out of the realm of the article, and into the domain of question without anwsers yet. This type of discussion is better suited to Forum:Patch 3.2.--SWM2448 18:26, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

As of May 8th Latin-american Community Manager Luumht confirmed that the Argent Coliseum will be that "secret surprise instance" that Blizzard developers spoke about on future content interviews. So, its pretty much possible that this one will be the Tier 9 Raid.

Here is the link to the thread, for those who speak and/or understand Spanish: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=17367770065&sid=2 Orisai (talk) 18:56, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

"new instance" still doesn't state it will have a new tier of gear. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 09:19, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

and... where is the surprise? Pudim17 (talk - contr) 00:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

The surprise is that before this announcement, we didn't know what the raid instance for 3.2 would be. Many speculated on Azjol'Nerub, for example. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 10:12, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Nathanyel is right - just because it's a new raid does not automatically mean new tier. I again wish to point out Zul'Aman, which was released between Black Temple and Sunwell Plateau, but did not have tier gear - comparable gear, yes, but not tier gear. I believe this will be more of the same, that it will have gear that will be comparable to Ulduar (or at least enough to use it IN Ulduar, since Icecrown is probably not for a good while yet), and be something to keep the masses busy before Icecrown. Usually the last instances of an expansion get the third and last tier - Naxx for vanilla WoW, BT/Sunwell for BC, and Icecrown for WotLK....makes sense, does it not? --Joshmaul (talk) 17:57, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, as of June 17th, Blizzard's community manager Bornakk confirmed that the Coliseum will be the next Tier of raid encounters, introducing new gear sets based on the Alliance and the Horde (this sounds like the Marshall/Warlord ones). So, this will be the Tier 9 Raid.

Bornakk's original post (this time in English): http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=17900030059&sid=1 Orisai (talk) 02:20, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

They've said it will be akin to Magister's Terrace several times, so they don't mean Tier 9 when they mean "a new tier" - they mean "tier" with a lower case "t." /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 12:55 AM, 18 Jun 2009 (EDT)
No. They're adding a new alternative currency, the Emblems of Triumph, as a drop from the Coliseum encounter. Plus, we got another season of Arenas, making the Coliseum the Tier 9 Raid...

... And, if you ever mention the Sunwell Plateau gear being on pair with S4, Blizzard devs were just too lazy to add item set bonuses to the gear you can trade with sunmotes. Orisai (talk) 19:05, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

MP5

Be on the lookout for this change:

Re: Paladins - Should we start collecting Mp5 | 2009-06-08 19:14 | Blizzard Entertainment Ghostcrawler

Regardless of any other changes we might make, mp5 just doesn't seem to provide enough point for point on gear. It's possible (likely?) we'll just increase all of the mp5 on gear.

Is it still mp5 if it's higher then 5? O.o IconSmall WolvarBig, furry, and insane (Have a conversation with the homocidal furry!) (Come and stalk me! ...No, wait, please don't.) 22:22, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Assuming that was a serious question, he means it will be 30mp5 instead of 23mp5. Mp5 is just a stat like crit or int. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 12:25 AM, 12 Jun 2009 (EDT)

Mount changes

I've heard a lot of complaints about the mount changes - me, I find it would make things a bit easier, but I do have one question: I kinda liked the fact that blood elf paladins got a tabard out of the whole deal with their epic mount quest. Would the mount change affect this at all? --Joshmaul (talk) 10:20, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

It is likely the quest will simply have a lower level requirement in line with the changes - allowing people to still obtain the tabard. --Zenero (talk) 10:34, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
The quests will stay at the current level, especially since they make use of higher-level instances. They might change the wording a tad to not say "you will get a mount at the end" that much, but I doubt that. I don't know about the paladin and warlock chains, but the druid one story-wise is based on threats for the Emerald Dream, though it involves various birds a lot, it doesn't explicitly go by "How to get the Swift Flight Form". If you didn't buy the epic mount/form from the trainer earlier, you will get it for free "as a bonus" when you finish your epic quest chain. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 13:13, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't specifically answer your question about the tabard, but Zarhym did update the post to show the level requirement changes for individual class mounts. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 3:42 PM, 14 Jun 2009 (EDT)
I have one thing to say about this: *high-pitched voice* OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! I am soooo hyped. Deiena (talk) 20:48, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

When will this be out by? By July? August? Deiena (talk) 20:49, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Looking at previous content patches, I rather expect August, if not September. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 01:23, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
