Deletion Edit

That's two people who have deleted this page without a violation in place, rather annoying. - Stevenw9

That is because it is not officially announced and is a violation of the WW:Policy/DNP Un-released content policy (yes we all know that Icecrown Citadel will be in this patch) but we are still on PTR Patch 3.2.2 -- This patch is not ready to be posted yet, hence it is removed until Blizzard announces it Officially. -- (M o r p hJames E. While they haven't yet made an OFFICIAL "Patch 3.3.0 is coming and this is what's in it" announcement, they made multiple references to it at Blizzcon. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:18, September 1, 2009 (UTC)
So when the Blizzard staff announce that the Citadel will be in patch 3.3, and announce that patch 3.3.0 will exist, it's not official? How much more official do you need to get then straight from the horse's mouth? Granted, I can understand any info being removed that hasn't been announced by the staff, but anything more then that is just holding back info, IMO. However if the staff of WoWWiki, with all this in mind feel this page should still be deleted, fine. I just don't see the reasoning, but i'm not up for large amounts of problems. - --Stevenw9 (talk) 22:37, September 1, 2009 (UTC)
I was not disputing the information on the page, because Blizzard has made this announcement before 3.1.0 was ever on the PTR severs, in a statement stating that 3.1.0 will have Ulduar , 3.2.0 will have an Un-Named instance that fans will surely be glad to see (or words to that effect) which we now know to be Onyxia revamped, and 3.3 will have Icecrown Citadel. If you read the DNP policy I listed (it says Released on LIVE / PTR servers) and 3.3 is not on either so it is classified as Unannounce content per that policy. We are on 3.2.2 right now, there could be a 3.2.2a or even 3.2.3 before we hear more about 3.3.0 because it has not been announced yet (so all things are subject to change still). -- (M o r p hJames E. P.S. I am not staff (I can NOT delete anything) I was just replying to the original comment about why the page has been deleted and gave the policy that they (STAFF) will use - for it has been used before when I made this page before ( this is NOT the 1st time that Patch 3.3.0 has been made. WoWwiki works in a LINEAR order (3.3 is out of order until we know for a fact that it is the next patch coming) -- (M o r p hJames E. Rooks, Jr. aka: Morph

The relevant section of DNP is poorly written, the title of the section implies that it should only apply to content and information obtained through datamining, this interpretation is supported by discussions on the policy's talk page. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:44, September 24, 2009 (UTC)
A few minor tangents... I just want to be clear that WoWWiki admins are not necessarily MediaWiki staff, but simply editors with "sysop" (the ability to delete pages, among other things), although there are (I believe) 2 of about 30 admins who are actual staff. Also, please start a discussion on the policy forum for WW:DNP if it clarification or expansion is needed.
In terms of this page, perhaps additional references are needed. I'm sure I've read an interview or a bluepost that said officially there were will be 3 major patches this expansion, and Icecrown will be released in the 3rd one. So, it is, from the horse's mouth. Druid pets Edit

I assume Blizzard is referring to (although vaguely) [Force of Nature], or it's a typo. Either way, this article should match the current official patch notes. Just Alerting You Small Howbizr(t·c) 9:27 PM, 1 Oct 2009 (EDT)

Patch name (maybe) Edit

It seems to be keeping in the spirit of the other achievements, but from what I've seen of the achievement list (thus far empty, as Icecrown Citadel is not open yet), this next patch will be called "Fall of the Lich King". Just thought I'd throw that out there. --Joshmaul (talk) 11:53, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

Talk pages are generally reserved for discussion about editing, not for general speculation on the topic. This discussion is more appropriate for the Blizzard forums. Just Alerting You Small Howbizr(t·c) 2:31 PM, 2 Oct 2009 (EDT)

Clarification on warlock pet avoidance Edit

BlizzGhostcrawler clarified,

"The Infernal and Doomguard have the 90% creature avoidance that other pets do in patch 3.3." (Source)

Difficulty Edit

They're making the game easier aren't they? Is this patch actually out yet? BobNamataki (talk) 13:43, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

No, it is in PTR phase. The game is getting easier and more usefriendly, but for the high levels it is getting harder and harder, but that is as it is supposed to be, IMO. Hans Kamp (talk) 14:13, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
But equalising all races except dwarves, orcs and tauren? That means a humans stamina is as high as a troll despite troll regeneration? BobNamataki (talk) 11:05, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Patch is out? Edit

Currently downloading "WoW-3.2.2.10505-to-3.3.0-enUS-patch"

Am I downloading 3.3.0? I'm confused.

That's only "wow-partial-1.MPQ.part"
You still have two or three weeks before 3.3 goes live.

It's the same background downloader process that they've done for every major patch for the last three or four years. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:24, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Players below level 10 may not join raids Edit

Does this mean no more organized Level 1 raids on Hogger?  :( ~ Doc Lithius [U|T|C] 04:07, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Patch 3.3 Analysis and Speculation from Just My Two Copper Edit

What's going to happen in 3.3? I'm sure it's on everyone's minds. If you've been checking the JMTC forums then you are aware of several major item changes that will affect the game and making gold in wow.

1. Saronite Bar -> Titanium Bar Transmute Cooldown Lifted

This has sent buyers running to grab up all the Saronite Bars and Ore that they can find in anticipation for transmuting them into titanium bars. What will this do? Decrease the value of titanium bars and all the items made from them, as well as increase the value of saronite bars. Saronite ore will also be affected and this will greatly damage the profitability of the 'Saronite Shuffle.' Infinite dusts being made more readily thanks to a recent hotfix will also help to ruin the profitability of this method. Will it still exist after 3.3? Probably, but it will not be as profitable.

2. Heavy Borean Leather to Arctic Furs

Arctic furs and 10 heavy borean leather are going to even out to the same price.

3. Rare/Epic Gems going up in value along with other with upgrades

People are going to be upgrading at an insane pace thanks to the 5 mans. Not to mention the fact that t9 will also be available for triumph badges and 5 mans will drop it. Getting 25 arena points for the daily bg will help people upgrade somewhat faster as well. Leg enchants, enchanted vellums, titanium ore and spellthreads should see huge price increases for the first few weeks of the patch.

4. Raid Consumables

The more top end raiding guilds you have the better this market will be on your server. Everything from flasks to potions to elixirs to fish feasts will fly off the proverbial auction house shelves.

5. Snowfall Ink Glyphs

Two new glyphs are appearing which cost snowfall ink. Expect the price to rise on your server for these inks. I predict that it will increase even more so than the week of a darkmoon faire.

6. Pygmy Suckerfish Flood Incoming

With the emphasis on fishing and leveling fishing thanks to the new fishing competition expect pygmy suckerfish to flood the auction house. Definitely look for some great deals on turning these into pygmy oils for resale directly or indirectly as potions.

7. Disenchanting Option

Disenchanting option is equal to greed. If you roll a 90 on De and someone with greed rolls an 89 you will win the item in disenchanted form.

8. Random Dungeon

People will run WAY more dungeons thanks to this new tool. Get ready for enchanting mats to drop like a rock with this new option. People will que for dungeons the way they que for battlegrounds, resulting in far more runs and the incentives to try this new tool will have everyone doing it.

9. BOA Shoulder Enchants

Say goodbye to what was left of the Relics of Ulduar market.

10. New Leveling Rings

Say goodbye to the amazing profits of selling low level bis rings. Look into disenchanting if the mats for these rings plumet.

—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Markco (talk · contr).

But on each server, it will only be possible for one player to get a [Dread Pirate Ring] each week, and even the handfull of people who do get it will still have another free ring slot. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:18, December 8, 2009 (UTC)
