It's not very helpful to tell us that "Global variables this, event, arg1, ..., are no longer available" without giving us some indication of what we're supposed to do as an alternative.

In many cases, using the name of the addon's main frame in place of "this" will work, but as to the other variables I don't know how to work around them. I've been searching the web for clues but so far nothing.
