5 of us took on this dungeon, it was first time for all of us. Spent 2 hours doing all bosses. It should have only taken 90minutes, but we took a few real-life breaks. We were all at least level 40, 2 warriors, 1 priest, 1 hunter, 1 rogue (alliance, so forgive us for not trying it sooner).
We couldn't find Miriam Moonsinger, for the quest A Host of Evil. But it seems easy to finish since it's just kill 8 of that monster, 8 of the other monster and so on. . .
For A Scourge of Downs, we must have done something wrong. Only one person got credit for finishing it.
1. I think we needed to talk with the guy once 2. he gives you oath stone 3. Then everyone talk with him a second time 4. Then he begins the escort quest
I'm pretty sure we messed up on step 3, since i know i didn't talk to him a second time, before he started running down the hall. Escorting him is easy, but then he starts casting a spell at one of the statues in the dungeon. He needs to cast for 5 minutes, all the while wave after wave of monsters spawn and fight. So your healer had better pace himself to not run out of mana, or he should do his best to leave combat between waves and start drinking. You need to kill fast to give you time between waves.
Mordresh is worth seeing, but not really worth killing. The other bosses have some decent items they can drop. --Snive 17:11, 5 May 2005 (EDT)
I'm changing the text after Mantle of Lady Falther'ess to "caster cloak" from "healer cloak." The item, at least according to thottbot, has +damage and healing, making it useful to all caster classes, not just healers. Equiraptor 13:40, 5 December 2006 (EST)
--Thousand Needles... What?--
Sometime ago, when exploring D-Cloud Pinnacle, I noticed 2 Razorfen standing at the northern end. Thornweaver and Battleguard, I think. Anyone know if there's another entrance to RFD from there? Basher1200
Yes you can enter RFD from Darkcloud Pinnacle(33.8,38.2) in Thousand Needles, just climb the ramp at about 32,32, then cross the bridges heading east, then north to 39,28(on the map you can see the line that the plateau's make, this will put you under the brier outside RFD(just South West of the instance), While the Horde will find little use for this path, Ally's may find it slightly faster than riding the elevator, but not so much that it's worth going out of your way to find. Instance Level Requirement
From what I found, the level requirement of this instance was misrepresented in three locations, two of which were on the instance's page itself. Instances by level had it at 35-40 and the article listed 35-42 and 33-47 as enemy level ranges. Wowhead's and Thottbot's entries list the enemies ranging from 34-41. So, I've updated all pages involved to this level range. If there is an adjustment made to ensure success through a dungeon, I suggest adding it as a note since level of difficulty can range drastically. --Curtwulf 16:26, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- The inconsistency kind of annoys me too. I want to go by what is on the World of Warcraft website, which lists 33-41, but there is also the article page which suggests 37-46 in the infobox and 40-45 in the general notes (that's one page with two different pieces of information), the Instances by level page which lists 34-37, nowadays Thottbot says 34-40, and Wowhead has changed to 33-40. Anyone else feel confused? I was kind of afraid to change anything while cleaning up the article today, so I am hoping someone can shed more light on the situation. --nurdc0re 21:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Due to all of the inconsistency, I suggest going by the World of Warcraft site and referencing it. Then put in a note that other web sites, including this one, suggest the following range 3#-4#. The Instances by level should have the meeting stone requirements, if I remember correctly. If not, certainly put the range mentioned on the official Blizzard site. The article is where we can explain the inconsistency I suppose. Curtwulf 19:00, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
