Patch notes for 2.4.2 state: "Seal of the Crusader: This ability now increases the damage dealt by Crusader Strike by 40%." However, a quick glance at my paladin does not show any change in the tooltip of either skill. My paladin is not retribution, and I'm not going to respec just to check it. But if it is true, it should be reflected here, as well as on the Crusader Strike page.
I recently witnessed that the claimed 40% bonus of attack speed was not really granted in reality. As for example, i'm using two different weapons to put the lights on this strange behavior: a Rune Sword (any affix) 1.60 speed a Viking Warhammer 2.40 speed
With the rune sword, 1.60 sec ... i cast seal of crusader and i got... 1.16 seconds in attack speed logically 1.60 * 40% = 0.64, which would drop me to 0.96 sec attack speed. It doesnt
With the Viking Warhammer, 2.40 sec... i cast seal of crusader again and i got... 1.71 sec in attack speed. Logically 2.40 x 40% = 0.96 which would give me 1.44 sec
i'm no good at maths but i'm pretty sure that 1.16 is not (1.60 - 40%) or 1.71 is not (2.40 - 40%)
- Your math is wrong. You're attacking 40% faster, not at 40% of your attack speed. The correct math is as follows.
- 1.60 seconds / 1.40 = 1.14 seconds
- 2.40 seconds / 1.40 = 1.71 seconds
