This is the most basic and noobish approach to dueling with a shaman that I've read so far... I'll try to add my input as best I can, but so far I've just changed the warlock section, more changes to come, such as...

the article: it's OK to be polymorphed by a mage!
me: polymorphed by a mage = you as a sitting duck for a 4-5k pyroblast heading your way. o_O

I'm inclined to agree. It also says things which are untrue, such as "stormstrike can be purged" --JamesR 12:48, 25 February 2007 (EST)

Does Tremor Totem really purge a rogue's sap? I don't think so! - I'll check that later --Wikishaman 17:00, 13 July 2007 (EST) edit: it doesn't!

Most probably it would be very useful, if one had a general section in this article in which the general hints would be aggregated.

The "contrary to popular belief" comment about Earthbind totem is also contrary to the Earthbind page. We need to resolve this.--Aaeamdar 21:29, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Shaman Pvp

I have done alot of pvp with my 70 shaman. The idea behind fighting with an enhancement shaman is to give enough time for all of your buffs to proc. Mainly while fighting Warriors this is very important and can help u survive to the next fight. This is very easily done with a damage absorbed trinket such as the Nigh invulnerability belt. When you first enter the fight throw down earthbind and healing stream to save your mana and heals. If you are gonna use a fire totem use fire nova and then when taht runs out throw down magma. That way you get the effectiveness of both. When you first get into the battle the first thing you want to do is throw up a stormstrike and earthshock. This way you already ahve some damage on him. As the fight progresses start slowly shifting to purging him of any buffs that he might have( if he dosent have any dont waste ur mana.) When your health starts to get low make sure your earthbind is down and throw up a Heal. do this quickly and far away so he cant intercept. Once that is donego back into the battle and throw on all ur procs. By this time he should be dead or close to it. Thats for Arena Pvp mainly but can be used in Battlegrounds.
